This scanner was easy to setup and program and works really well

Good scanner for the money. I have 2 of the Uniden BC75XLT handheld scanners besides this one and they work great. They are really tough. Their is a trick to programming the frequencies, but they receive really good.

I picked this scanner up to take to the race track to listen to the team radio transmissions. After skimming through the manual, and watching a 6 minute YouTube video on the Uniden channel, I was able to program the scanner with ease. I dont know how Ive attended raves for the last 20 years without a scanner. Following the races on the scanner makes them so much more enjoyable! The only thing this scanner is missing is alpha tagging. For the races, I just program the car number to the matching channel number, so I know who I am listening to. I would highly recommend this scanner to any race fans.

I use this for rail fanning and it works well. The only small gripe is that the advertised range, with the attached antenna, is not as far as specified. Then again, I am in a hilly area, so that probably makes the range much shorter.

Just what I needed for monitoring emergency activity! The battery-life on the rechargeable unit is long-lasting. Nice to take-out for a few days without having to charge.
