My mom wanted this to listen to. She don’t get out much because of the corona virus, so this gives her some kind of entertainment on what’s going on in the outside world of her town. Made her happy, and she could set it up herself, which was my main concern because I’m in a different state than her.

The scanner itself is solid and easy to program. Have not tried the downloadable programming software because it is easy enough manually. I live in the suburbs and find the stock rubber ducky antenna to be inadequate for pulling in signals. A mobile antenna and a better rubber ducky have made a world of difference. Im sure this wouldnt be a problem in more urban areas. Good audio as well.

I picked this scanner up to take to the race track to listen to the team radio transmissions. After skimming through the manual, and watching a 6 minute YouTube video on the Uniden channel, I was able to program the scanner with ease. I dont know how Ive attended raves for the last 20 years without a scanner. Following the races on the scanner makes them so much more enjoyable! The only thing this scanner is missing is alpha tagging. For the races, I just program the car number to the matching channel number, so I know who I am listening to. I would highly recommend this scanner to any race fans.

Brought this thinking that I could start doing a hobby I’ve been interested in for a while. I couldn’t figure out even after doing YouTube searches on it to get it out of all lock mode. Also couldn’t figure out how to get my local police feeds. Returned it a week later. After I sent customer support a message which they only say they respond via email, though they do have an 800 number. Call the 800 number and all it says is to email them. Not worth the money.

This low-cost scanner is easy to operate and the included computer interface makes programming frequencies in very simple. Battery takes too long to charge, but that may be due to the quality of batteries installed. Very handy for work.

I love it so much and its easy to use and being able to carry it in my old retired police cruiser really brings the car back to life even though its retired and never be used an active one again this scanner has brought it back from the dead
