Love-it-or-hate-it scent (I like it). But the real revelation with Tabac is how well it lathers. Out of all the shaving soaps Ive used, this easily lathers the best and whips-up into a super-rich easy-to-apply foam that feels great. It also seems to last forever. Ive barely made a dent in mine despite using it 3-4 times per week. Probably the best shaving soap i have stumbled across.

Love this stuff! I have gotten my best shaves with this Soap and Speick cream. Lathers like a dream, even better with distilled water. The scent isnt terrible to me but it is evoking memories of my youth that I cant quite place but I think my grandparents bathroom smelled like this. They were classy people so that isnt a bad thing, at least to me :)

Another great shaving soap. Yes it may smell like your elderly aunts purse but the quality is truly one of the best you can find. The lather is of very high quality, thick and the lubrication is just about the best you can find anywhere at any price. I highly recommend this this one in the porcelain tub. Did I mention how really thick this soap is? You can really feel the weight of it on your brush once youve lathered it properly and by the way, its quite easy to lather. Yes its been around quite a long time but some of the best soaps, while you may prefer other scents, you cant deny the high quality of the formulation that they use. This is one of the great golden oldies of the wet shaving world and I can highly recommend it

Great soap, scent is very nice but the best part is the lather. Gives an incredible, thick, cushiony lather. Great shaves.

...pure heaven........... you cant go wrong with Tabac shaving soap....... the scent is great... the aftershave is very good too.

Bought this for my hubby; it creates a smooth, creamy lather and smells slightly of Tabac (my ALL TIME FAVORITE aftershave, which he also wears). The soap is long-lasting and looks like it will last for at least a year of daily shaving use. You also really owe it to yourself to try Tabacs mens aftershave

After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to give this a try - and Im happy to say Im very glad I did. This is likely to become my go-to shaving soap. Works extremely well with a EJ DE razor. Provides a very slick surface for the razor to glide over while helping to provide a close shave. The smell was initially a bit off-putting, but as others have stated, you do get used to it after a couple shaves and its not bad at all (IMHO). In addition, Ive found whipping up a lather in my Georgetown Pottery G5 Shaving Scuttle is easier than almost all other soaps Ive tried, the lather does not dry out, and will easily last for three or four passes. Like this so much, Ive purchased the stick version for business trips! Would highly recommend!

When I received the container it was broken and the lid was broken

Smells like the inside of an old ladys purse. Seriously, its like a combination of moth balls and rose water. I couldnt even bring myself to lather with it because the smell nauseated me so badly. YMMV, of course.
