Sennheiser HD 650 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

I cant really bring anything new to this review that anyone else hasnt said. What I can bring is my experience with owning the VModa M100 to the Sennheiser HD650. I have both headphones playing out of a Firefly from woo audio at work. At home I have a Fiio E09/E07 set up.

Wanted to replace my DT 880 PROs, but there is absolutely no comparison.

Firstly lets get this one out of the way. If you have a problem with finishes, style, material then I wouldnt say these headphones are not for you, Id say that headphones are ridiculous looking things to stick on you head in the first place and no matter how many go faster stripes, dead cow hides, red and black colour schemes are going to make a pair of mickey mouse ears are going to make you look better anyway. Youll always look an idiot and pretentious if you go out on the street with more than discreet aural implants hooked into the matrix.

The sound is amazing, the comfort is great. What more could you want.

First off, the price seems somewhat outrageous. Im certain were paying for the brand to some extent. Now on to the good stuff.

Como amante de la música siempre hay una expectativa alta cuando compras un mejor equipo al que ya tienes y esperas una mejora. En una opinión personal no me gusto nada el sonido de estos audifonos, el sonido en general lo describiría como gris, opaco, no soy experto ni he probado muchos audifonos pero los dos que tengo de gamas mas bajas suenan por mucho mejor que estos. Pedi un cambio a Amazon pensando que era un producto con alguna falla o error pero me llegaron los nuevos y no se trataba de alguna falla simplemente asi son. Los acabe por regresar.

The best - amazing clarity and sound definition. I bought these and the HD600s to compare side-by-side, and ended up keeping these. The HD600 was like a perfect/flawless representation of a perfect recording. These take it a step further and make me feel like Im in the room with the performance. The sound stage is unbelievable. These are well balanced - they are slightly warm and musical compared to pure flat studio monitors, but theres not overpowering frequencies, anywhere. I bought them for use with an expensive digital piano, but also use them for TV and private listening (just about anything from Jazz and Classical to Metal and Electronic, but no Hip-Pop or country).

Natürlich es geht immer besser, was jeder Audiophilie bestätigt und somit ist der Sennheiser HD 650 noch keine high end Klasse. Er ist ein solider Kopfhörer. Nach einiger Einspielzeit entfalltet er seine volle Klangbreitenwiedergabe, vermittelt Raumgefühl und sauberen Klang. Der Tragekomfort ist angenehm, die Kabellänge gibt genugend Bewegungsfreiheit. Überlaut liebt ers nicht und wird unklar. Wers bodenständig, zuverlässig und alltagstauglich mag, ist mit diesem Kopfhörer gut bedient. Ich bin voll zufrieden!

I first heard these cans that are owned by a friend of mine. He also has the HD700s, so I did a side-by-side to see if the extra money for the 700 series is worth it. The answer is yes, but the 650 is not a bad second at all.
