Greater than one weekFor those looking for audiophile headphones, these are great enough. I will point out you will need a good combo of a headphone amp and a DAC. If yoooou have clasping issues (due top how hard they clasp), set some bbbbooooooooks inbetween them for a day or two, however I find the clasping perfect; firm and cozy. My ears also do not touch the inside of the muffs, so they are really comfortable.

> 3 dayIts the legendary HD650 - my second pair after 6 years of trying numbers of IEMs, AMPs and DACs. I end up trade everything in and bought my old days back. A German made gorgeous truly delivers original and uncompromising tones.

> 3 dayI like everything about these headphones. I cant believe I procrastinated so long before I got them. Im not going to get into the technical stuff, there enough of that on here. Just buy them before you cant. They sound better everytime I listen to them. Im still searching for the dac/amp that really knock it out of the park for me. I own a few different amplifiers, that they sound unbelievable with, but I know theres a better one or two.

> 3 dayComfortable. Fantastic range. I use it hooked to an Eden bass amp most of the time. Great product.

> 3 dayYes, there may be technical reasons to go with a studio monitoring set of headphones if youre going to be editing sound, but for listening and pleasure of wear, comfort, and all around improvement over previous Sennheiser HDs I love this set. I have had it on for about 24 hours and have to force myself to take them off to greet people and talk at breakfast--YES ALL NIGHT LISTENING and hearing my digital music anew. My HD600 and other HDs before were fine, but this has quality I dont mind paying the hefty price for. The bass is profound. I am not going to argue that technicians might find it colored...at some frequencies, but I am not a technician, but a person who listens to music for pleasure, and my health. HEALTH!! YES!! Music therapy!!! And these are better than analysis or shock therapy any day! I also have tinnitus and it takes special quality to pierce the constant internal noise in my head and this set seems to allow the hiss of my tinnitus to come from outside my head while the music gets inside my head (and a big head HD650 makes too!) I also was on a rifle team in the old days when we didnt even wear earplugs and for three years I shot a rifle 300 times a day. I find the HD650 pitches the sound into my right ear in a more excellent manner than any other device for listening I have used.

Greater than one weekVery smooth and refined regarding the classical music to which I listen. Adequate imaging, and good quality manufacturing. But the biggest problem, for me, is the excessive clamping pressure: I have not been able to find a comfortable position for any length of time. Suggestions that they would improve with use, has not materialised.

> 3 dayCan I add anything positive that hasnt already been said? Dont think so. So Ill just add the stars. I have six high end headphones. The most expensive tops out at $2200. The HD 650 is the cheapest of the bunch. Which headphones do I use the most? My HD 650s. Theyre just that good, even when compared to their big brothers the HD 800 and 880 S both of which I own. These headphones are just so easy, so comforting in their sound reproduction, just so... mmmm... nice. GET THESE if youre starting your journey into high fidelity headphones. This is one of those cases where you dont get what you pay for. You get more. Just dont forget that you need an amp but even in this area you dont need to go bananas and spend huge amounts of money on an expensive amp. These headphones just need amplification, not expensive amplification. Have fun with em.
