Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

One of the best products I bought. I had it for over a year now so I think a review is perfect for this now, the quality is great Im a bit clumsy at times and this has survived everything i have thrown at it. The sounds are great no bass sure but never cared for bass unless i go to work and listen to music with headphones. The sounds is top notch even for gaming CS GO felt a bit unfair for me at times as i could hear even verry quite sounds way before all of my friends did giving me a bit of a heads up when to get ready. It does have low to high frequencys so you end up hearing sounds you never heard before in music or movies and even video games. It also comes with a bigger audio jack that most pc dont support but it does have a convector and the bigger audio jack is used for other equipments like piano i got, you wont have any problems plugging this thing in just some people might care for the bigger audio jack for other uses. Only problem I cant think off is when you look completely up they seem to fall off but i never do that since not much reason to stare at my ceiling, otherwise perfect sound quality that gives low sound frequency so you can hear sounds in the background you could not before which is quite refreshing as some songs can sound completely new all over again.

Its comfy, sleek, and sounds awesome! My favorite thing about these headphones is that I dont get headaches as easily with them.I prefer my music on the louder side and with previous headphones I would develop small headaches within an hour or two of listening. But with the Sennheisers I can listen to anything for long periods of time at pretty loud levels before I call it quits. I have Astro A40s which is my primary headset but Im honestly thinking of picking up a mod mic to make the Sennheiser my new daily driver.

These headphones turned out to be exactly what Ive been looking for. I listen to a lot of music and wanted outstanding sound quality for enjoying music at home and my office. Unlike studio headphones, these feature open backs ( so NO noise isolation or noise cancelling), which enables me to enjoy my music while still being able to carry on a conversation if someone comes into my office. (Ive been startled too many times with noise isolation headphones!) Sound quality is excellent - very robust and multi-dimensional. I can hear the full range of sounds, even at the lowest volume, so I dont have to trash my hearing. If you like heavy bass, you might want to pass these by. (For my taste, there is plenty of bass.) Comfort is excellent. Ive worn these all day and often forget theyre on. I love the velour covers on the ear pieces. Comfortable even with eyeglasses. Ideal use is in a home or office. Since these are open back they leak sound, so they would likely disturb anyone near you, such as on a subway or airplane. (My earphones of choice for travel are Bose QuietComfort 20i - VERY portable and outstanding noise cancellation.) I would not recommend them for studio work, DJ-ing, or use in a noisy environment.

adapter does not work well with iPhone 6 Plus. Have to remove the remove the case. Terrible base response. The earphones produce too many highs. There is also little to none outside noise blocking

Had to reurn this unopened as I bought AKG Q701

I own some Sennheiser HD 280s and the On-Ear Momentum 2.0 Wireless headphones, and I have to say, these HD 598 SEs are very, very, comfortable to wear. Since theyre not trying to block out any outside noise, they dont clamp down on your head. The muffs are also gigantic and dont brush against your ears with the fabric that covers the driver.

Cable doesnt work all the time. Ive swapped out the connector thinking it was that and it still doesnt work . Only had them for 2 weeks before this started happening. Ive missed the window to return them as Ive been out the country. Waste of money.
