Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I brought a HD598 normal edition month ago, it is really great, so I decide to buy another one for my friend with the Black Friday deal. However, when this new HD598 SE arrived today, it gives me much worse sound quality than HD598 I brought monthly before. I realize something may wrong so I go to the official sennheiser website. The new product is not pass through the authenticity check. I am so disappointed because I received a fake product with amazon sennheiser official site! I brought in Black Friday special deal with 95 bucks. No doubt I have to return it after I finish this review. Just for more information to the new buyers: I know that there are some high-quality copy of this earphone in the market. It is packaged as good as the real one, the sound quality is bad. So if your HD598 give you a very good sound experience, cheers, your got the right one (this earphone is the top one among the sennheiser products which can running without a AMP, it has better performance than HD650 if HD650 is without a amp). So make sure go to official website with authentic check. Hope it helps.

Bon casque, de prime abord, mais quelques réserves font que je le renvoie : - le son Bose, trop basseux, nest pas assez fidèle à mon goût - le velours est légèrement irritant à la longue - la jonction câble-casque est trop mal isolée, donc tout contact sur le premier sentend dans le second.

This product really opened my eyes to the amount of detail that we common people never hear in music. Very cheap for the level of audio quality you receive. The sound stage on these are great for watching movies and playing games. Also great for music, but it really shines in movies and games. 10/10 would purchase as a gift for any family member that likes movies, games, music.

Jai acheté ce casque en promo à 130€ en me confiant aux commentaires positifs. A mon avis, les gens qui laissent ces commentaires nont acune autre casque de référence. Je possède déjà une Audiotehnica m50x (casque fermée) que jai payé 120€. Malheureusement Sennheiser ma déçu, le son est trop épais, pas assez détaillé. Jai fait 50h de rodage sans arrêt en espérant que la qualité sonore va saméliorer, aucune difference au final. Sennheiser HD598 coûte environ 200€, ca vaut pas le coup, achetez la uniquement en promotion. Si vous trouvez le son de cette casque assez bien, sachez quil existe beaucoup mieux que ça. Une casque pareille nécessite un bon baladeur audiophile avec DAC et amplificateur. Jutilise fiio x1 avec fiio e17k. La musique uniquement en format FLAC. Vous sentirez la difference. Brancher une casque de ce type a votre smartphone en mp3 cest comme acheter une Ferrari et rouler sur les routes de campagne a 10km/h.

Really dont worth 8k. the sound quality is not at all amazing.You must buy a fiio DAC for it, which costs nearly 5k more. if anyone thinks lucky to get at low price then you are just fooled. it doesnt cost 19k. check amazon.com , its 9k price. SO please dont buy it just because it looks so good on the photos. u will surely regret it. Amazon is not so kind to give u at 60% off and pay rest from their pocket. Moreover the looks are immaterial because u are NOT allowed to play it at public places........ Why? the amount of sound leak is so high that it sounds like a loudspeaker is on. Think twice before u buy.. I would better recommend ATH m50x.

These have gotten a lot of five-star reviews, and its easy to see why. Theyve got a lot going for them. Depending on your personal needs, they might very well earn those five stars. They also might not be what youre looking for at this price point. I recently had the pleasure of reviewing Philips A5PRO, and I also have an old Sennheiser PC150 set lying around. These hit both ends of the price spectrum and were used to compare sound quality. Ive always been impressed by Sennheisers quality. My PC150s are 9 years old and still sound great. The HD598s are better but only slightly, and Im not sure I should be able to say that about headphones that cost $100+ more than they did. They are no match for the A5PROs; noise-canceling makes a big difference, which the HD598s do not have. Where the Sennheiser HD598 stands out is in their comfort. I get head/ear fatigue quite fast with most models of headphones and avoided them for years due to this problem. These are so light I can wear them for hours and hours without any discomfort at all. I feel like this should be the main consideration for these headphones. Ive never worn a pair more comfortable than these. Theres not much more I can say about these. Theyre great headphones, but that claim comes with a few caveats. If you wear headphones for long periods at a time or deal with head and ear pain because of them, I recommend this pair. If youre just looking for decent audio at a reasonable price, Sennheiser offers much cheaper headphones of a slightly lesser quality. And if youre looking for top of the line audio at a lower price point, you wont find it here.

What can I say? After all these good reviews, I bought this during Black Friday and what do you know, these are the best I have owned so far. The quality is superb and works perfect on my phone for songs and ps4 for gaming. Highly recommended.

Incredibly comfortable, great sound, great product. Upgraded from my HD 558s, sound difference is there, but I got them on sale, I would have upgraded other wise.
