> 24 hourAs always.....she can’t write a bad book!! Loved the story! Absolutely loved the Seals!!! Mitchell was one smart gal. Rely was amazing. The silly chatter between the Seals is always welcome. Thank you Ms. James, for a few hours of getting lost in the story!!!

> 24 hourThe blurb summarizes the book so good that theres no reason to bother anybody with my recap. In any case, having read the first installment of the series I had high expectations for this book and was a quite disappointed by the outcome. The plot was predictable, the main characters very stereotypical. Sorry, didnt like this one that much.

> 24 hourThis is a suspenseful, action packed, page turning, second chance romance novella, with Elle Jamess signiture likable characters and witty banter. Navy SEAL Remy LaDue and his team are home from deployment for 2 weeks and he is hoping to have a date NCIS Agent Mitchell Sanders for Valentines Day. Mitchell had been the girlfriend of Reys best friend, Derek Brewer, but he had been killed in Afghanistan and they are both attracted to each other but also feel guilty. Remy is disappointed when Michell stands him up, but when he goes out with his brothers to a stipe club, he finds out why- she is undercover to find her friend who suddenly disappeared and her investigation is unsanctioned. When things get sticky Remy and the rest of the SEALS have her back. I read an ARC provided by the author. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

> 24 hourOK. Ill admit it. Im a sucker for Seals, Marines, and cowboys/cattlemen. Grew up on military bases, married a Marine, and lived on a ranch. Generally speaking, there are certain qualities and attitudes youll find in men who choose those careers. Ellie nailed it with Remy. I really liked Mitchell too. A strong woman who made a risky decision and was smart enough to second guess herself. The writing flowed so smoothly and tightly that I can see why shes such a successful writer. Her knowledge of military weaponry and tactics are right on. And the rescue scene was tense enough that Im ashamed to admit I almost resented having my reading interrupted when my family showed up with the makings for tacos! The love story was believable. The characters well developed. Nothing to find fault with or jarring moments. Like I said, (very) hard book to put down. (Now Ill have to buy the rest of the series!!)

> 24 hourARC provided by the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This novella gets an extra star just for having a really intelligent, not to mention hot, heroine. So I guess that means is gets 6 stars from me, even though I can only post 5 stars. This book is way to short. It was like reading the last 100 pages of a really great full length book. This would have been so good in full length. It is also my favorite type of romantic-suspense: The hero and heroine work together to solve the problem. Mitchell is an NCIS agent whose best friend, Kelli, is a Navy Lt. Commander who is missing. NCIS assigned the case to an agent who isnt doing everything he can to find her. Mitchell takes leave and goes undercover as an erotic dancer to find Kelli. Remy is a SEAL who lost his best friend in combat a year ago. Mitchell was dating the friend at the time, but Remy had already noticed her and when the friend died, he was there to aid and comfort Mitchell. He returns a year later to, hopefully, resume a relationship with Mitchell, one not based on grief and guilt. He finds her in the middle of her undercover operation, without backup, and agrees to help.
