15-11-2024I really loved SEALs Desire. It was a great read with great characters. It also touches on a heavy subject that people need to be aware of. Remy and Mitchell are real characters that I think people will be able to relate to. Mitchell is a navy cop, NCIS, who is looking for her friend who has disappeared. Shes doing it without back up and no one knowing until she runs into Remy again. Mitchell and Remy have feelings for each other but they have to get over a close mutual friends, and more, death and something that happened the night of the funeral. Remy also refuses to let Mitchell continue without backup and volunteers himself for that duty. As they try and crack a sex trafficking ring and find Mitchells friend in time, they grow closer and accept their feelings. This is a shorter read that is easily enjoyed. I really liked the characters and how they were done. Its a quick story but one that draws you in and that you want to know the end of. Its engaging.

> 3 dayI enjoyed her clean story line. The story flows and you dont have a dozen characters to keep track of.

> 3 dayI would definitely rate this author among some of my favorites. She writes compelling stories with characters I fall hopelessly in love with every time. I now consider anything by Elle James a must-read!

> 3 dayRemy had just finished a mission in the hills of Afghanistan. He just wanted some quiet time to himself. There was one woman Remy could never forget and it was Mitchell who was a very focused female. Mitchell was a NCIS agent. When Remy first met Mitchell she was dating Brewer a fellow seal and good friend. But Brewer didn’t make it back from the last mission. After brewer’s funeral Remy and Mitchell slept together and felt horrible after. But Remy loved Mitchell and did not regret it nor did he want it to be a one time thing. Mitchell was trying to find her friend Kelli who is a Naval Lt Commander who has went missing. Mitchell is undercover as a stripper named CC as the bar owner Rocco was the man with the connection Mitchell needed. Remy and the rest of the team stop at the strip club and they see Mitchell. When Remy realizes Mitchell is undercover alone he and the team of Seals decide to help. Together Remy and Mitchell and the Seals uncover a human trafficking ring in Virginia Beach. I liked this story even though it was a novella it had every thing you could want: action, suspense, exotic dancers, romance, Seals, danger, humor, brotherhood, and so much more. A great story, writing was great, the plot was great as were the characters. I loved all the twists and turns of the story as well as the twists and turns that both Remy and Mitchell go through. I highly recommend. I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

> 3 dayARC provided by the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This novella gets an extra star just for having a really intelligent, not to mention hot, heroine. So I guess that means is gets 6 stars from me, even though I can only post 5 stars. This book is way to short. It was like reading the last 100 pages of a really great full length book. This would have been so good in full length. It is also my favorite type of romantic-suspense: The hero and heroine work together to solve the problem. Mitchell is an NCIS agent whose best friend, Kelli, is a Navy Lt. Commander who is missing. NCIS assigned the case to an agent who isnt doing everything he can to find her. Mitchell takes leave and goes undercover as an erotic dancer to find Kelli. Remy is a SEAL who lost his best friend in combat a year ago. Mitchell was dating the friend at the time, but Remy had already noticed her and when the friend died, he was there to aid and comfort Mitchell. He returns a year later to, hopefully, resume a relationship with Mitchell, one not based on grief and guilt. He finds her in the middle of her undercover operation, without backup, and agrees to help.

> 3 dayThis book was included in a collection I have on my Kindle but I prefer to review each book on its own merit. I didnt have any trouble understanding the dynamics of the characters since I havent read any of this series so I was able to enjoy the story. It is certainly understandable why Remy and Mitchell felt guilty over their attraction to each other but the mystery surrounding her missing friend and Remy and his teams willingness to help Mitchell, certainly helped to assuage their feelings. Good book with the right amount of emotions.

Greater than one weekThis story is about the sad crime of human trafficking. Thankfully, this story has a happy ending. Many dont.

Greater than one weekA faced paced romance thriller. Marshall, a NCIS agent, went under cover without the knowledge of her superiors after her friend went missing. She suspects she will uncover a possible human trafficking ring with the help of a Navy SEAL, Remy, and his team. Since this was a quick read, the character development skimmed the surface. Their love story is interesting on how it developed. Pretty good read.
