Remy had just finished a mission in the hills of Afghanistan. He just wanted some quiet time to himself. There was one woman Remy could never forget and it was Mitchell who was a very focused female. Mitchell was a NCIS agent. When Remy first met Mitchell she was dating Brewer a fellow seal and good friend. But Brewer didn’t make it back from the last mission. After brewer’s funeral Remy and Mitchell slept together and felt horrible after. But Remy loved Mitchell and did not regret it nor did he want it to be a one time thing. Mitchell was trying to find her friend Kelli who is a Naval Lt Commander who has went missing. Mitchell is undercover as a stripper named CC as the bar owner Rocco was the man with the connection Mitchell needed. Remy and the rest of the team stop at the strip club and they see Mitchell. When Remy realizes Mitchell is undercover alone he and the team of Seals decide to help. Together Remy and Mitchell and the Seals uncover a human trafficking ring in Virginia Beach. I liked this story even though it was a novella it had every thing you could want: action, suspense, exotic dancers, romance, Seals, danger, humor, brotherhood, and so much more. A great story, writing was great, the plot was great as were the characters. I loved all the twists and turns of the story as well as the twists and turns that both Remy and Mitchell go through. I highly recommend. I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

Remy LaDue and Mitchell Sanders made a mistake and sleep with each other after his best friends and her boyfriends funeral. After that, they keep in touch as they both grieve and go on with their jobs(Remy is a SEAL and Mitchell is an NCIS Agent). They make a date for Valentines day if they are both stateside but when Remy gets back he finds Mitchell deep undercover and in need of help. Good thing she has backup in Remy and his SEAL Team. I loved the characters in this book. Remy is so sweet and sexy one of my combos in a hero and he is head over heels in love with Mitchell. Mitchell is independent strong and can take care of herself in a fight, but she has such a caring side. Remy and Mitchell are both very devoted to their jobs(Remy is a SEAL and Mitchell in an NCIS Agent). I love a heroine who loves her job and her boyfriend understands and respects that. I hate it when the hero doesnt respect that the heroine has an important job that she loves or Vise Versa. Remy and Mitchell both had to deal with the guilt they felt about sleeping together after the funeral and thought the author wrote that very well. Remy and Mitchell have great chemistry and you can tell how much they respect and love each other. This book is very exciting and I read it in one sitting. My only complaint is I wish this book had been longer because I loved the characters and story so much. If you love action, romance, and suspense I highly recommend this book and I cant wait to read the rest of the series. Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Content Rating: Mature 17+ Heat Rating: Hot

I like the way this author write and whats not to love about a SEAL. It was a quick read. Mitchell was strong with a sense of honor. Remy was a great alpha male. I thought the ending was a little cheesy, but still look forward to next book.

ARC provided by the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This novella gets an extra star just for having a really intelligent, not to mention hot, heroine. So I guess that means is gets 6 stars from me, even though I can only post 5 stars. This book is way to short. It was like reading the last 100 pages of a really great full length book. This would have been so good in full length. It is also my favorite type of romantic-suspense: The hero and heroine work together to solve the problem. Mitchell is an NCIS agent whose best friend, Kelli, is a Navy Lt. Commander who is missing. NCIS assigned the case to an agent who isnt doing everything he can to find her. Mitchell takes leave and goes undercover as an erotic dancer to find Kelli. Remy is a SEAL who lost his best friend in combat a year ago. Mitchell was dating the friend at the time, but Remy had already noticed her and when the friend died, he was there to aid and comfort Mitchell. He returns a year later to, hopefully, resume a relationship with Mitchell, one not based on grief and guilt. He finds her in the middle of her undercover operation, without backup, and agrees to help.

I really admire Elle James ability to craft a very balanced romantic/erotic/suspense novella. Its a very difficult format to master. I have not read book one in the series, but I was able to read this one without any trouble. The premise was fun, and the story itself woven tightly. I especially liked how layered the characters were, their chemistry quite obvious and their banter fun and flirty. The action sequences were well written and had the added advantage of not competing with the passionate interludes for equal time, as I stated, this novella is really balanced well. I will definitely read the other offerings from this talented author. *I received my copy from NetGalley.com in exchange for an honest review.

Ella tells a good story. I like the action in her books however this one was too short for me. I still love her books.

NCIS agent Mitchell Sanders has never wanted to settle, she is dedicated to her job and is finally ready to commit her heart to the SEAL she accidentally fell in love with a year ago. But now she is on a mission to find her friend a female navy officer, who has gone missing so Mitchell puts everything on hold and goes undercover to find her friend, only then to discover her sexy SEAL is back in town and wants to help her but will she let him or not .... if she doesnt Remy will blow her cover? Remy and Mitchell join forces to find her missing friend and to her horror they uncover a human trafficking organization in the darkest heart of Virginia Beach and whilst their attraction for each other burns hotter than the sun will they both survive this to let this love take hold forever. This was a fantastic book full of just about everything you want handsome man some hot sex scenes as well as some fighting and Happily ever after, this book is well written fast paced and keeps you guessing through out. 5 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books

I loved this book and the story I have read it so many times cant wait to read it again.
