> 3 dayAfter using this SSD for a couple months, I don’t think I could ever go back to hard disks. It’s tiny, fast and super reliable. Pick up a $7 case for it if you travel.

> 3 dayIm using this as a bootable clone drive for a Mac. Because its a solid state drive, its better to use APFS formatting. which will result in faster boot times and read speeds. But the option to use this isnt obvious in Disk Utility. To format a new T5 to APFS, you need to click on view, select show all devices and then select the lowed level (the disk itself, not the volume) and select erase. Select GUID in the bottom pull down menu box, which will then add APFS to the format options pulldown menu above.

> 3 dayWorks on both mac and PC. I formatted immediately to EXFAT, as I always do with new drives, and have had no complaints.

> 3 dayI own a few of these and they’re amazing. I use one for my camera system, one for my PlayStation 4 and another for personal use. These are my goto for extra storage needs.

> 3 dayI have purchased a few portable SSDs from other companies and this is my 3rd Samsung I have and I love all of them. I purchased this to run other operating systems on my MacBook Pro using Parallels, Instead of taking up my internal SSD space I moved them to this drive and it runs just as fast as the internal. Since the unit is so small and already USB-C its easy to carry along in my bag and takes no space so I always have my other operating systems available. For me 1TB is the perfect size for all my files and systems. I also use another Samsung 1TB drive to store VST/AU instruments for Logic and Ableton and it causes no performance issues compared to the internal.
