    Bought 3 of these drives and Im returning them. As others have mentioned, Ive been forced to format them multiple times. Luckily I had other backups of my data. When the drive does work, Windows says theres a problem and that you need to fix it or you may encounter data loss. This SSD simply isnt reliable, and thats very disappointing coming from Samsung. I have a T5 and other internal Samsung SSDs and theyre working without issues. Avoid the T7.

    I wanted to make sure I had the latest firmware of the drive so installed the software necessary for that from the Samsung website. OSX Monterey has a special security option that has to be totally disabled in a special way for this software to work. Turns out the firmware was up to date already. Id love to just uninstall the Samsung software and reenable my OSX security, but its not so easy and Im a software engineer.. Im sorry I bough the drive mainly for that reason. If Samsung had an uninstall option at least, Id be OK.

    I used this for virtual machine, obs recording, and have arma 3 playing on its pretty much my go to external ssd. If u need fast on the go external storage this is far the best out in the market although i got it on sale regular msrp is still expensive but your getting your moneys worth.

    Slower than advertised speed. Cannot reach much above 800 MB/s on a Thunderbolt 3 connection . A far cry from the 1050 MB/s advertised speed.

    I mostly use these for computer backups. Small and sturdy and a decent price, I have one for each of my computers. SSD and light weight so you can carry it with you when you travel, or lock it up in the safe with all your important documents. Usually a fairly decent selection of colors as well, I bought a similar model (T5) in Rose gold to match my wifes new MacBook Air. So now we have them in Black, Blue, Gray and Rose Gold. Makes it simpler to grab the correct one when it matches the machine. Backs up quickly too.
