Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

1 star off for a slight fairly common issue of Samsung drive software not seeing this as a valid product at first. Eventually it did, and all is well. I have 2 of these and theyre awesome drives.

I also purchased the external USB housing. This was amazingly simple to install, with their image software and directions.... Simply make an image of your old drive directly to your new drive. (I went from a 250 SSD to the 1 TB SSD) Then turn your machine off, remove the old drive and install the new.. It comes up running with no additional action required.. Great support information with the drive.

If I could give ten stars I would. I bought a 125 gig years ago when ssds were expensive. I was running out of space and this beast goes in. The migration tool makes it very user friendly and boot times are as fast as ever. Love Samsung drives.

Good and works

Added 2x these as additional storage in a new build. Unfortunately I was short on m3 screws & had to wait a few extra days while a multi pack was delivered. Past that, easy set up & fast read/write speeds.

For never having done this type of thing before, it was pretty easy to install and set up! Totally recommend!

Samsung EVO SSDs are great while working. Fast and stable OS operations while functioning within specs. Unfortunately when the Samsung Evo 860s fail, your troubles will go from bad to worse, as in addition to dealing with data loss, you will have a fight on your hand if you hope to get Samsung to make good on their manufacturer warranty.

It is a very good drive, however, Samsung has to provide a good quality disk cloning utility, it does not copy all partitions, I had to purchase a separte tool to do that.

So far so good as a primary desktop PC boot drive. I have had great luck (speed, endurance, reliability) with Samsung SSDs in the past. Once Ive had this for a bit longer I will be able to give better feedback.
