Since the hard drives in iMacs are not user accessible (at least not without major surgery), I decided to use an external drive as my boot and system drive. Bought it for my Xbox One X. Yes, for pubg. I no longer have to land and wait for things to render in. Good product, better price than buying local, and more importantly, speeds up rendering on pubg, big time.

Good product to good price

My old Dell Studio XPS 8100 needed a hard drive. I bought this SSD with a ICY Dock Mounting bracket. The old drives were removed and after adding windows back I felt like I had a new computer. This computer was so slow I rarely used it. Since the hard drive upgrade it is a great computer for surfing.

This particular model is old tech by now, but here in 2019 it is still trucking away, doing everything I need. No SMART errors or warnings, nowhere near its write capacity, and no problems in general.

Replaced my spinning drive (5400RPM) with this Samsung SSD. All I can say is wow!. I knew I was sluggish but did not realize how the drive was holding everything back. The Samsung software was a breeze to use and the actual replacement took 2 minutes (thanks Toshiba). If you are on the fence...dont hesitate and upgrade today!

For the layman, like me:

I bought this SSD to replace my inbuilt Dell laptop Hard drive. My laptop use to take 3-4 minutes to boot up and start any application. After installing the new SSD, its booting in less than 30 seconds. Easy to install and mirror the data from old Hard drive to new drive using Samsung software.

I use an NVMe SSD for my boot drive, but I use this for saving my larger sized games. The game load time is good, and I have not had any issues with this drive. I have been using it for the past 8 months and love it

I dont have a lot of experience working with computers, but installing this hard drive was fairly easy to do with the help of a couple of YouTube videos. This has been the single best purchase I made in 2020. My 6 year old HP15 feels like a new computer now. I dont game or do anything serious on my laptop, but my it feels insanely fast for everyday tasks now. <10 second boot-ups, programs open up within a second or two, and file transfers are much faster.
