Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

This Samsung SSD improved start-up and wake-up times in my old HP laptop. The data migration software made the cloning process very simple. The only application that didnt transfer was Microsoft Office 2010. Overall, very satisfied with the upgrade.

This is a 2nd consecutive return of this Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E500B/AM). First one was defective out-of-the box, the second worked well enough for a short time after I cloned my Win 7 Pro 64 OS onto it. I had the urge actually to return it right off, because the gold contacts of the SSD drive seemed wrong: not shiny and smooth as usual, quality products show. The SSD was speedy as expected, and brought my Windows performance rating from 5.9 up to 7.6, as my former Western Digital 1TB HD was the cause of the 5.9 rating. However, within a few days, my computer started to have random and frequent error events that either freezes (while surfing the web or using Windows Explorer and other software) or fails to start up. Most times, if I had the patience and time to find and execute fixes, I could regain function for my desktop, but I finally got fed up and decided to return the SSD and go back to my slow hard drive.

Got this because my hard drive was getting full amd slow when gaming. Switched games over to SSD and bam, Im speed gaming. Totally worth the purchase and simple to plug in.

Easy to install. Installed my second drive for gaming, I replaced the old mechanical 2nd drive. I bought it on the Holiday season with cheap price. Like it a lot

Its as if I have two new computers now after using two of these to upgrade my laptop- cloning software is really good- as is magician- very happy with results so far.

Using as an external USB 3.0 portable drive. So not using the drive to its full potential, but easy to install and expect great reliability

Awesome ssd. Installed in my mid 2010 MacBook. Went from painfully slow to as fast as a new mac. No problems with install. Only problem is you can’t use the Samsung Magician software to update the drive and monitor it on a Mac. Otherwise great.
