Needed a replacement SSD and have had good luck with the Samsung EVO line before. The 870 is a nice step up from the 860 but nothing groundbreaking. If you are in need of a performance SSD but cant switch over to NVME drives then this is a good buy

I have owned many Samsung SSDs over the past but this 2 TB. one has developed quite a few bad sectors in less than a year of moderate use, causing hours of lost time scanning and reinstalling. I would advise you to do a full CHKDSK /R scan on it before putting your data at risk.

For most people, this is going to be the best choice for upgrading to a SSD. Once you have cloned your old hard drive over to the SSD, youll notice and see the increased speed in your computer booting up and making less noise. Very happy with my upgrade!

Great value for a large volume storage unit. Installed easily. My computer tech had me buy this in lieu of his professional grade unit at twice the price. He has found this is a better value for his customers.
