Installed into my Xbox One S Digital Console. Very impressive and much faster load times on Forza Horizon 5.

I replaced the hard drive of a old HP Elitebook laptop with this SSD drive. The data migration software is excellent from Samsung website. Once the data replication is completed, I swap the hard drive and the SSD drive performs very good. Before replacing hard drive, it takes 60 seconds to boot up the Windows 11, it takes 15 seconds to bootup the system with the SSD drive. There are other less expensive SSD drives and most of them dont provide free migration software.

Blisteringly fast. The toughest part was waiting for the Samsung cloning software to do its thing. Once it was done, I just unplugged the old drive and moved the new drives SATA cable over to the old drives spot on the motherboard and turned on the machine. It fired right up and everything was perfectly transferred over. My boot time went from minutes (old HDD) to mere seconds. Everything loads and saves dramatically faster.

If you have a spinning type of HDD and your system is slowing down and youre starting to worry about bad sectors etc etc ... then it is time to upgrade to a SSD ... no moving parts ... I did this and my system now runs faster and even a non-techo type like me was able to do the install ... BUT ... what Samsung failed to remind about was I would need a SATA:USB cable for the data migration (at a cost), and that if your drive is partitioned the Samsung migration tool doesnt work, and that the only tools I could find to do the disk cloning cost me nearly as much as the (256Gb) drive! However ... once I got past all that - things went much more smoothly and everything is up and running and Im happy that my system runs faster and with no chance of head crashes destroying my data!

Very pricey for such a small drive; I think theyre selling the name. But its still in good quality, and as a samsung fan Im always okay with spending a bit more.

Good Fast & Affordable Whats not to love.

I bought this to upgrade a co-workers hard drive from the older mechanical to SSD. The first unit that I received was DOA and would not do anything. Amazon sent me a replacement and this one worked great. The only issue that I have was with the data migration software from Samsung. My pc with windows 10 worked great when I upgraded my hard drive to the 860 EVO but my co-workers pc with windows 7 and Samsung data migration would not work at all. I ended up having to buy a dual dock hard drive cloner which worked great.
