> 3 dayWorked fine for about 9 months until it failed out of nowhere. Not super reliable, just buy a M.2 if you can

> 3 dayReally cant say enough about Samsung quality. I have purchased quite a few at this point and have several that have run for a long time. I still have no failures.

> 3 dayRecently I had to add a Linux operating system to my Windows computer. Unfortunately the only space available in the system was on a traditional 1 terabyte hard drive. Naturally the boot up for Linux was slower than I wanted. Replacing my old hard drive with this new SSD made the boot up almost instant. I could not be more pleased!

> 3 dayNeeded a replacement SSD and have had good luck with the Samsung EVO line before. The 870 is a nice step up from the 860 but nothing groundbreaking. If you are in need of a performance SSD but cant switch over to NVME drives then this is a good buy

> 3 dayI wanted to expand the size of my OS drive for a double boot. The Samsung 870 Evo has twice the memory as my native hard drive. So far, Im very impressed. I remember the old days when hard drives were actually disks in a metal case. The Samsung 870 Evo is much smaller and lighter than a cellphone. Since its solid state, it has no moving parts, no motor that could fail, no head to crash into the disk. Those old disks, which I use for external backup now, are heavy enough to be weapons for self-defense.
