> 24 hourI bought this monitor 8 months ago as an external for my 2021 Macbook Pro M1 16, and although the picture quality was nice, it kept flickering. I had to constantly change the color profile to remedy this, and it would often be a color profile that didnt quite work for me. The screen was also VERY fragile. Last week, I accidentally bumped the screen VERY lightly with the edge of my bluetooth keyboard, and it cracked, rendering the monitor useless. I had no accidental damage protection as far as I know, and it would have cost hundreds to fix, so I decided to sideline it and purchase a new LG 34WN80C-B UltraWide 34” 21:9 Curved WQHD (3440 x 1440) IPS Display, and it has performed flawlessly, ... with NO flickering. I cant recommend this Philips 328E1CA monitor due to the flickering and fragility, among a few other annoyances like the questionable support and UI. Although the picture is nice, Im way happier with my new LG Ultrawide 34.

> 24 hourIve had this monitor for nearly two years. Its okay. The size and curve are nice. It does have resolution and colors. But it lacks vibrancy and brightness. I have several other 4K monitors - a Samsung 28 and a Monoprice 28. Both have far better color saturation, contrast and brightness. Also, of the three, the Philips is the only one that will often lose track of the inputs.

> 24 hourSo I looked at all the specs for about 10 or so 32 monitors to replace my old 27 Dell. I settled on the Philips because: 1. It has a 4 year warranty, no extended warranty required. 2. It has incredible specs; even at 2x the price 3. The summary on PC Monitors was great. 4. Curved to help with viewing at the extreme left and right. 5. VESA 100 mount to go on the arm on my desk 6. Built in speakers I was not disappointed. It was packaged very well. When I opened the box the test and calibration summary was right there and detailed final calibration data. That was a surprise. I havent ever seen calibration information included in any monitor I have purchased. The built in star was easy to remove and the same screws that hold the stand can be reused to attach the VESA 100 mounting. I plugged it in and attached the cable to the DisplayPort on the back. The monitor recognized the single input active and automatically switched. My MacPro 2013 immediately recognized the resolution and gave me options for native resolution or scaling. The first thing and lets get this out of the way. Its BIG. I didnt realize it would be this BIG. Lots of screen real estate compared to my 27, 2560x1440 monitor. I went through the test and calibration procedures at the Lagom Nl website. Google Lagom nl lcd test. The result was that I used the Native color temperature as it provided the best colors for photos. As for brightness; this monitor is bright enough. Too bright when the set to 100. I have mine set at 68 after calibration. I have the contrast set at 44 after calibration. Sharpness is set at 50 and I left Gamma alone. The speakers are better than what you find in a computer and are good enough for conference calls and general use. Overall, this is Excellent monitor for my usage; protography, multimedia, coding, etc.

> 24 hourThe monitor itself was fine and had no real problems with it per se. But their warranty is something else. After it quit working after six months I contacted Philips and they refused to honor their own warranty. They said their warranty does not cover physical damage to the monitor itself. All I did was unplug it and used a new monitor to replace it for a few days and when plugging it back in it did not work. Philips may have won the battle but lost the war since I never will use a Philips product again period. They tried to make me out a liar and I do not appreciate it. I had the monitor six months and have used several of their monitors over my 69 years and the products have been OK. If you buy this product--be forewarned concerning their warranty coverage.

> 24 hourI bought this monitor almost a year and a half ago on November, 2020. It had excellent quality all around. I bought the same version of this monitor on May 2022, and the blacks and greys are noticeably worse. The colors are much different with the exact same settings. The blacks and greys look orange with a new monitor. It is very distracting when you have the exact same monitor with the exact same settings and the newer monitor has text that is very difficult to read, and black interfaces look orange now. Wouldnt recommend buying this monitor anymore.

> 24 hourWhen hooked up to my computer (2021 M1 Max MacBook Pro), the screen intermittently flickers, and vertical stripes appear, most intensely in the upper corners. The flickering/stripes emerge based on whats on the screen (i.e. it can be reproduced consistently) but Im not exactly sure what causes it. I have tested both the included HDMI cable and another 4k, 60Hz HDMI cable, as well as two ports on the computer. Further, have manipulated several settings on my computer (toggling NightShift on the mac, different display color profiles, refresh rates, display resolutions), and every possible setting in the Philips OSD (on screen display) menu. I contacted customer service, and they sent me a new monitor, but the problem persists on the new monitor. Other monitors work well with the computer, so it cant be my computer. I have read online about some people experiencing the same problem, with no definite solution. One suggestion is to configure the computer to “Force RGB” color via some terminal commands, but this doesnt seem to be an option for the latest version of macOS. I thought this could be a bug with the macOS software, since it is dependent on what’s on the screen, however, I can sometimes trigger the flickering just by bringing up the Philips OSD menu, so it can’t just be a defect in the signal being received by the computer. Manipulating the various settings in the OSD menu can cause the flickering to be magnified or recede, but not disappear completely. It is frustrating that this expensive monitor does not work well out of the box with the latest, state-of-the-art computer. When its not flickering, the screen, picture quality, brightness, etc. is great. However the flickering makes it unusable in my case.

Oh well
> 24 hourI love this monitor but the screen blinks on and off randomly especially after I turn it on. As this is a gaming monitor, it is not great when fighting.

> 24 hourThis curved monitor is a slight curve. For basic use as a computer monitor I highly recommend it. For the value and quality I give it a 95% great rating. The 5% is minimal to the only problem that I had. The instructions to set it up or marginal at best. However it is not difficult. The mounting screw for the stand can easily be cross-threaded. Otherwise I would highly recommend this monitor to anybody. This monitor is very adaptable to Everyday computer use. Office use, home computer use, and simple gaming. My flight simulator Graphics are fantastic. Now I just need to upgrade my graphics card.
