> 3 dayI shipped my unit for repair in Optoma California after 2 years, as it stopped turning on, and got a 750$ quote to repair a $700 projector. The customer service is really poor, they charged me $100 for the inspection and literally told me to buy a new one if that seems like a better option. Never again Optoma, I am going for an Epson or HP this blackfriday.

> 3 dayPerhaps a more expensive item would be better, but for us this unit works very well. Great picture. only complaint, no optical cable out for sound. simply bought an HDMI audio extractor to get quality sound.

> 3 dayGreat quality, that’s my first screen projector so I don’t know if it’s pricey or not but the quality and ease of use is magnificent.

> 3 dayReturning for refund. Broke after 15 min of use. I inspected the bulb and that was not the issue. This is not my first projector. Room needs to be dark for good view of picture. With just a little light, you cannot see anything this thing projects. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. $700 budget? Go get something else.

> 3 dayI DO NOT recommend this projector. The projector is louder than expected. It doesn’t sound like the typical fan noise but like an annoying buzz. It’s distracting to have this projector on in a low ambient noise environment. After about 6 months of living with this projector which is mounted to the ceiling, a large hair has somehow found its way behind the lens. This is magnified to about 1/4 of the display height and it blows around with the fan. It basically makes the projector unusable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

> 3 dayGreat Value for picture quality. however the UI for menu is very archaic. one of the reasons i bought this projector was for the HDMI CEC, but this projectors CEC was compatible with Roku Streambar Pros HDMI ARC. This unit also only has a 3.5 stereo jackpot audio output. for $600 i would expect to have at least an optical output or 12v trigger output.
