> 3 dayThe picture and brightness on this thing is good enough. The first thing you’ll notice is the zoom is absolutely useless. You’ll almost certainly have to drill new holes in your ceiling to re-mount it because the projected image won’t come anywhere near what it’s replacing. The next thing you’ll notice is the rainbow effect is horrible and honestly a seizure risk for people sensitive to flickering lights. After that you’ll notice that the power button on the remote doesn’t work, but don’t worry, their support will blame your FireTV stick for that (as though they don’t have control of whether their own device powers on from its own remote). Oh, and the final insult is finding that it powers itself off with an overheating LED code because they apparently didn’t build in sufficient cooling. What an abomination. Don’t make the mistake of purchasing this doorstop like I did.

> 3 dayI LOVED my Benq. But this Optoma projector definitely has less rainbow effect than the similarly featured Benq projector.

> 3 dayLordy lordy I love it. Its a major upgrade from what I had great picture and is fairly quiet. Can have lights on in the room and still see the picture fairly well. I give this product a 10 of 10 so far.

Greater than one weekThis Optoma projector has GREAT picture quality. Compared to my last projector this is way more silent, brighter, and quality is immense. The only downside I can give for this project is it gets very hot around the bottom and doesnt have the 120hz option youd expect to find easily. Besides that it gets a big image from afar but up close it lacks compared to cheaper projectors Ive had.

Greater than one weekI tried out a couple less expensive (cheap) projectors before purchasing the Optoma. Ill just say you get what you pay for.... This one is 100% better than the others. Great picture, color is good, motion is good, and brightness is good. I have it projecting on a 150 screen and it looks great. Focus is good from corner to corner (the cheap ones you kind of have to pick which part of the screen you want to be in focus...) I havent tried 3D yet, but am looking forward to it. The projector was supposed to just be for fun to watch a movie on every once in a while, but has now become the go to every night.

Greater than one weekSecond Optoma projector. Picture is great. But there are only two attachment points for mounting hardware. My previous Optoma unit had four. Three is the minimum needed for a secure mount. The one on the top Left is integral with the housing and not removable. The second image shows this close up see that it can be appreciated. This is a MAJOR issue for anyone wishing to mount to the ceiling. If you intend to mount a projector from your ceiling, you must find a different unit or tap at least one more hole in the housing to give you three points. Extremely poor design. Optics aside, two stars only for this major design faux pas.

> 3 dayI use this projector for movies, gaming, and live stream. I’m impressed with the quality all around. I say it’s flaw is shadowy areas in films and what not you can see pixelation and it’s not sharp, only in the darker areas. Other than that I love it
