We needed to repair a toilet flange attaching to old cast iron system with lead pipe. My local plumber gave me no options but replace all the cast iron pipe, which was several hundred dollars. This flange is designed slip inside the lead pipe and tighten 3 bolts that expand a rubber gasket and seal the connection. Works great, easy to install and saved me hundreds. Highly recommend! Found this method on you tube and then found product on Amazon.

Installed in 1950s basement with 4 terracotta waste pipe. Previous toilet had no flange - apparently toilets used to be set in a bed of mortar. This worked wonderfully after chiseling away previous mortar for a level floor. Secured flange to concrete slab with tapcons and snugged up the internal hex bolts to expand the rubber gasket for tight seal against terracotta. Be careful not to overtighten the hex bolts. Seems like it will last a long time!

Cracked due to slightly out of level floor. Kids are potty training, so it gets bumped into at odd angles a lot. I would order again, but only after i found an effective way to lvl the floor a bit more for reducing the stress on the closet bolt connection the pvc ring. metal reinforcement would be nice.

I had a toilet with a lead flange and it was stuck in place; I couldnt remove it. I beat the sides of the flange down and seated this perfectly inside that part.

Great product! I used it to replace a old rusted up iron one, my old house had old iron pipes and this seemed like the right option without having to used lead( or whatever the old method is) with the old style iron flange. Just make sure you tighten the three Allen screws to tighten up inside the old pipe

This flange saved the day. I tried all different sizes and shapes but this was the best. It fit well with the old cast iron pipe and was tight and durable. You won’t be disappointed!

This flange grabs the inside of the 4 inch pipe very securely. Sadly for me, the installer did not shim or caulk the toilet. After about a week of use, (toilet pulling side to side on the bolts, which are in the PVC flange, those bolts cracked the flange. I had to remove the Oatey flange, and put a replacement in - i found the Oatey twist and set PVC at local store because i needed it right away. The PVC flange cant handle much torque and should have a steel ring, as many of the PVC flanges do. If toilet is properly shimmed and caulked down, this may not be an issue. But I would say, dont just rely on the bolts in the PVC flange. not enough, and the flange will break.
