NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Plug-and-Play, Silent Operation, Desktop or Wall Mount

I buy it to replace an old Netgear EN116 (16-port 10base). Instead of any improvement, the unit drops our download speed 50% !!!! I test it in 2 different locations with the same poor result. So, I just repack it send it back for refund.

Ive had this switch (GS308) for less than a week and it hung twice. When that happens, all devices connected to the downlink side lose connectivity. A power recycle brings connectivity on but this lack of stability is an issue for me. Ill be returning this product. Just to add, I got a 5 port switch a couple weeks ago (GS305) and that too is displaying the same symptom. By the way, when the switch freezes, other devices connected to the internet modem/router keep working which means its not an ISP routers issue. Ill be returning both switches and try another brand..

Pretty sad to find an American power adaptor in the box and not an Australian one.

Great vaule for the price. It was easy to setup and has worked without issue.

Initially, this switch out of the box did not provide !G speed. I found out that the problem was one of my cables was faulty. This switch does a good job.

I purchased this item to support my media storage device. I was super easy to install in my network. Plug in power then plug in CAT6 cables of all my devices. easy peasy.

Cant register it to my account, because brand new out of the box it is connected to someone elses account. Even after several factory resets no luck. Works in basic mode, but all the extra features r disabled

I had to move my wireless router and this switch gave me the additional Ethernet ports required. Plug and play! I picked this particular model for its wall mount ability
