> 3 dayMy second attempt at a Ethernet smart switch was a awesome success. Not all things are created equal and the first one I bought was cheap plastic crap. This is very solid with top materials in it. Youll love it.

> 3 dayI purchased one of these a couple of years ago and put it on my network. Throughout the couple of years I had major latency issues at various points and called my ISP and complained to them multiple times. I finally got fed up and started replacing every component in the network. First the WIFI router and cables, and then finally the netgear switch. But I made a mistake and bought the same switch thinking that a couple of years later, it must be a new model, and seeing that it is highly rated I didnt think to check.

13-11-2024Im a big fan of the various incarnations of these 8-port switches. I swapped a managed GS108Ev3 for this one in a matter of minutes. The GS108Ev3 is nearly four years old, and has been handling gigabit data from multiple devices pretty much constantly for that time (the last few months over a gigabit fiber connection). This one seems to work just as well, and has the solid, sturdy build quality I expect from this Netgear line.
