This unit is extremely quiet compared to other products on the market which are less expensive but more noisy.

This product is a price of garbage. It wont last more than 6 months. The warranty is a joke, because you have to pay shipping exceeding the replacement cost of the unit in order to receive warranty support.

NetGear has always made solid switches. They are always my go-to over any other brand, if for nothing other than they just feel better with their steel cases than a lot of plastic crap that is out there.
