Installed this switch without any problems. It simply works, period. No problems whatsoever. Have seen some occasional negative comments about other Netgear items, but only good things to say about this switch.

The hub gave me more needed ports without an appreciable decline in speed from my gigabit internet speed. I am happy.

This product was easy to get your multiple Internet connections up and going. Plug in the power adapter, then your Internet feed source, then your other connections and you are good to go.

This little Gigabit Ethernet switch is such a simple, well built, idiot-proof, rugged solution for adding additional ethernet ports just where you need them. When you dont want the extra features of a managed switch, but you need the ultra-reliability of NetGear equipment, this is the best choice.

The Netgear GS308 Switch should have been an easy to use, plugin and forget device on my network, but it is far from the truth. Every day it hangs, causing all connected devices to lose internet connection. After turning it off, then on all devices are connected again.

After installing the switch and wiring all the rooms that needed a port a realized that I could put my Wi-Fi in any room and switch would automatically pick it up and transfer it to the other rooms. I did not expect that but it was a bonus. Plug and play and works flawlessly.

I would like to say that this is a good deal but I purchased 4 and 3 have quit working. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

NetGear has always made solid switches. They are always my go-to over any other brand, if for nothing other than they just feel better with their steel cases than a lot of plastic crap that is out there.
