Easy way to add extra ethernet cables to your system. The unmanaged 8 port is the way to go. Plug 1 cable from your Roter- modem to 1 on the switch and this will leave you 7 unused ports to add extra devices, computers, printers via ethernet cables for faster speeds. Since I was not looking for a smart switch, this was more than adequate. I was able to hook each room and TV to the switch so I could watch movies from different computers.

I purchased two of these, one for home and the other for a small business. I was specifically looking for gigabit ethernet to future-proof my small networks as much as possible. Both switches have been rock solid. Neither switch has had any issues. Truly a plug and play device. Set them up initially and forget about them. I highly recommend these swtiches.
