Its an unmanaged switch. When it was working, it was just fine. But after just over a month of usage, it inexplicably stopped working. The power LED was blinking green and none of the ports worked.

I buy a lot of switches over the course of a year, and the Netgear switches never fail. This is a Superb Gigabit Switch!

I change out my previous 10BaseT hub to this gigabit hub in preparation for high-speed fiber to the home connection.

I have 1.2gb Xfinity internet service. I replaced my modem to take advantage of the extra speed as my other modem could only go up to 1.0gb speed. I have a firewall after my modern and it can handle 2.5gb as well, so I needed a switch to connect to firewall, and then from switch to my Eeero Pro 6E (which has a 2.5gb port). With all now running through 2.5gb port I dod get the full speed of my Xfinity, of course except to those devices with older wireless or 1.0gb network card.

I ordered this to go along with my Google Nest mesh system. It works great and allows me to hardwire the Roku, Play Station and desktop computer directly in to the Google Nest for lightening fast speeds. Fully recommend.

Great price and easy to set up. I replaced 2 4 port unmanaged switches with this. Good signal. I have gigabit internet and run gigabit lines to several PCs.

I bought this for $29 to use as a managed switch that was easy to program. The first thing is Netgear wanted me to buy a Premium or PRO subscription to keep the switch managed more than 30 days. That multiplies the cost of the switch many, many times.
