> 3 dayAs you get older, you need a bit more stability getting in and out of the tub. But, as a safety feature, no matter what your age, you could use a handle stepping in and out of the tub to prevent slipping. These bars are perfect for the job. The bars come with screws to install on the wall. Normally, you just locate a stud where you wish to mount the bar and screw it to the wall. Now, I live in a mobile home, and as you may know, the walls arent that thick to start with. I installed my bars by making an aluminum backer plate (3 x 4), drilled through the wall, and mounted the bar to the tub side with the plate on the opposite side. They are firm and support us getting in and out of the tub. I put one at each end of the tub because we liked the one so much, but sometimes you just use the other end, too. I may end up putting another one on the back wall for extra support when using the shower in the tub. These bars are made well, look nice, sturdy, and easy to install. Oh, did I say inexpensive? We are very happy with a pair of these grab bars giving us extra support in the tub.

Greater than one weekMy dad is 81 and needs a little help getting up and down his four steps into his home. We were going to buy an old fashioned railing and or wooden banister but the price point would have put us around 40 bucks. I said that let me look around on Amazon and see what we can find. Found this the customer reviews were extraordinary the Simplicity of the rail was excellent. So I ordered it it came two days later it was so easy to install that I was able to install it at 7:30 at night only using the porch light as my guide. My dad absolutely loves us railing the stability is extraordinary and the finished product looks extremely good. Would definitely buy it again should the need arise.

> 3 dayWell I was assuming this was a great brand. The quality of the grab bar is good. I live in the 60-year-old lathe and plaster house. I finally located a stud and wouldnt you know it, the damn head of the screw broke in the stud even after pre-drilling. Changing the position was not a choice I wanted to make. I already had three large holes for heavy duty anchors in the other side of the grab bar. I should have known better than to use the included screws. Please do not use the anchors that are included. They are not adequate for hanging a grab bar, maybe a picture frame. The included screws look hefty enough but its no good if the head easily breaks off. You have been warned.

> 3 dayWow, you just dont realize how something so simple can add so much convenience. I put a pair of these in my moms bathroom and basically made it possible for her to use the bath tub again. I also found that I was naturally grabbing the bar and not the wall anymore when getting in or out of the shower. These should have been installed decades ago. They are inexpensive, well made, and extremely strong. They look nice also. I had just assumed they were going to look very institutional and kinda ugly BUT I was very wrong. I dont have any mobility or balance issues but I absolutely plan on adding bars like these to my own home because of the great stability they add to showers and baths. Installation is easy for most semi-serious DIY types but I will have to say they MUST be mounted securely or they could do more harm than good. You will need a stud finder, drill, 1/8 bit, and a good phillips screwdriver at the minimum. I recommend an impact driver to run the 6 screws into the studs; that would be real work-out by hand. If you are mounting on top of ceramic tile or the like you will also need a 5/16 or so masonry bit to prevent destroying it.

> 3 dayI noticed that the floor of our shower was becoming quite slippery. once installed correctly these provide a great deal of safety in case of slipping while showering. These are not held by suction. It is necessary to discover exactly where the wall studs are located before drilling pilot holes through the shower wall. I had ordered 24 grab bars. I installed one of them diagonally so that each end could be screwed into studs which are 16 apart. I installed the second bar straight up and down screwing both ends into the same stud. Excellent product when installed correctly.

> 3 dayProvides rock solid grab bar, love it provides safety in shower or other places around the home.....excellent!!!! Update: 4-11-19 Bars are excellent heavy duty....how ever the screws that are included are awful. They tend to strip out the Phillips screw hole making it nearly impossible to tighten them properly....and removing them....FORGET IT. I suppose this is so all you monster men out there dont over tighten in bathrooms over tile or ceramic and crack the tile. If you are a normal person and have a small amount of judgment...I recommend purchasing some 10 (3/16) x 2 HEX HEAD STAINLESS METAL SCREWS with stainless washers. Hex head so you use nut driver instead of screw driver and tighten them properly. BE VERY CAREFUL INSTALLING OVER TILE OR PORCELIN not to over tighten. With the hex head you also have the option of removing them if needed

> 3 dayMoen makes a decent shower grab bar and the price on Amazon is comparable to purchasing in store at Home Depot. I found more color selection available on Amazon than at store which was a great advantage.
