> 3 dayMy hubby who is not artsy is the one who did this on me. We came up with a plan, outlined what we wanted, started in the middle, worked our way up, then went back to the middle and worked our way down. This kit comes with plenty of everything. I had an entire extra roll left over because Im only 52 so I used that on the inside to reinforce the cast (Which I seriously recommend doing if you want it to last). The only thing Id change is the lube. It didnt help much and the cast hurt to remove. I wish we had lubed up all over good and thick with vaseline first. Next time I know, and now you do too :) IF you are a bigger woman (which face it, many of us are in pregnancy) I would recommend getting the smaller kit to join this one so you have enough casting supplies not only for the initial cast, but to give it a good reinforcement afterward.

> 3 dayMy only complaint is how quickly it dries! I had help but honestly we could’ve used an extra set of hands! I was trying to help because of how quickly it was drying but then that made it loose on me cause I could be completely still and not move my arms. It got stressful for sure and I wish the end result would’ve been more snug but for what you pay and being able to have it as a special memory, it was a good deal. If we weren’t delivering next week, I would honestly order again and redo it with extra helping hands!

Greater than one weekThe 1st look crazy because I didnt have a bra on and the 2nd one I did. U can definitely tell the difference. I had my daughter and her friend do it for me. It was very easy and the had fun at the same time. Definitely glad I did it a 2nd time. Cant wait for it to get decorated.

> 3 dayit looked easier to do than it was. it really wasnt easy for me to sit still for the 75 minutes it took my husband to get the cast on me and the time for it to dry. it also wasnt easy to relinquish control of the project to him! HOWEVER, despite me, hubby was able to make a nice cast of my shape. this was a very messy process and removing the lubricant/skin protection was probably more difficult that removing the plaster. after the initial cast dries, there is a lot more work to be done - applying the plaster that provides the smooth look and reinforces the cast and preparing this surface for decoration. again, a slow and messy process if you dont have experience working with plaster. we are happy with the final results of our efforts, but it was much more effort than i had expected and the final results werent nearly as impressive as the color photos shown. we do recommend this kit, though - its a great memento of your pregnancy! just plan for more time and work than you think it will take.

> 3 dayIm only giving two stars because its a great idea. But the instructions are HORRIBLE. When I made the smoother for the belly cast, I ruined it. Im so upset I cant even see straight. The instructions say to make a yogurt like consistency which is very subjective. It says that it sets quickly, when it basically dries on contact. So thats what messed up the cast. Then on my next batch, I added too much water which completely ruins the mixture not to mention my kitchen is a royal mess and in addition, it took a lot of effort to get the instantly dried smoother off the bowl that I mixed it in, not to mention that it sticks to your fingers something fierce so forget about trying to do multiple batches, but wait, you have to do multiple batches for it not to dry up and for it to work. Its such a mess I cant even say the right words to explain. Im so incredibly angry and upset because its not like I can recreate the cast. Im going to try to salvage it, but unless you have help and/or know how this works, dont try this at home!! Its supposed to be easy and its not. Its terrible. You have to basically be in a class that tells you how to do it, or HERES AND IDEA....I hope the seller is paying attention...give measurements!!!! DUH!!!!! Thanks for allowing me to ruin my belly cast that I cannot recreate!!!

> 3 dayAlthough this is a little expensive for what it is, I have used it with all four pregnancies because it is conveniently packaged with everything I need. It may have been cheaper to go to the craft store and buy each thing separately but ease of use, materials and clear instructions for hubby made this a simple and convenient solution. Materials are abundant and, although I am not a fan of the cream included, it served its purpose well. It took a long time to come off my skin but did allow for very simple removal once the cast was dry. Instructions are clear. I would reinforce the idea that this is a messy process so wear clothing that you can get dirty and protect any surfaces in the vicinity! Clean up is easy if you use disposable drop cloths or garbage bags.

> 3 dayExcellent kit! I used another one (not deluxe) for my first pregnancy. The cast sat in the garage for years and crumbled all around the edges, which is why I got the deluxe version. It makes a mess, as would be expected, but is simple and easy to use. It’s a little tricky handling the gauze, which folds over easily and makes ridges. Still have to use the smoothing plaster to see how that works out. Just don’t let a chunk fold over in the casting process, at the end of the gauze strip, it makes a lump. The only negative so far is that the plastic sheeting is terrible. Very flimsy. Buy your own. It was $4 at Target for a great one. Luckily it was on hand for a home birth.
