I wasn’t expecting such a good monitor for the price point. The packaging is very secure and well done, LG definitely takes care of their products. I plugged this in and try a couple games on my Xbox series s (Apex Legends and MLB The Show 21) both look AMAZING in 1440p. The brightness is insane, I actually had to turn it down to 75 otherwise it hurt my eyes. Colors are extremely vivid and I haven’t experience any ghosting or screen tearing whatsoever from 60fps up to 120. The presets for certain games are actually really good, the FPS one works very well on Apex. If you need TOTAL accurate colors you could customize it yourself, but I find out of the box settings to be very accurate. As far as backlight bleed goes you can notice it on an all black loading screen but only if ure looking for it, as far as regular gaming goes you’ll never even notice it’s there. The only difference between this monitor and the GL850 is that this one doesn’t have the two USB ports on the back. If you don’t need those then save yourself some money and buy this one, it’s literally the exact same thing. The stand is beautiful, a little bulky for some people if ure desk isn’t deep enough but it works for me. It’s so easy to raise up and down, however they did that they did it well. The controls are so easy. It’s one joystick like button on the bottom of the monitor which is genius in my opinion. Overall this monitor is amazing and I would recommend to anyone needing to upgrade. I spent 2 months looking at monitors and reading reviews and I’m happy to say this is the best one for your money. You could spent $450 plus and get one that works the same as this, MAYBE better. Glad I snatched it when it was on sale. Hope this helps anyone on deciding, and you won’t be disappointed if you choose to pick this one up.

This was a big upgrade from my ancient 1020p ViewSonic, but after about a week of use, I noticed a dead pixel. After reading the LG Support horror story review here, I decided Id just let it be -- its usually not noticeable. Just FYI, if youve never used an HDR monitor for Windows 10, you will likely need to adjust the HDR brightness settings separately, otherwise the display may seem too dark for you for everyday use.

Its been about 2 weeks short of year since I bought this monitor, I just purchased another one so i can finally retire my 15yo 1920x1200 monitor. I really love this monitor, i play a lot of different video games and I also use mapping and remote imaging software, its been great for both. I have 0 problems to report besides that for best results youll probably want to re-calibrate it. Besides the amazing quality and color another thing i love is the controls, the joystick in the bottom of the screen and the menu are easy to use and understand, and its very easy to turn on and off. The aesthetic look of it is amazing, although most of the flashiness is in the back and I am likely the only person who will ever see it. The stand works very well, is fully adjustable and can be installed in a few seconds and you dont need any tools or screws, i used it for a bit but then switched to a different visa desk mount, but it wasnt because i didnt like the included stand, it seemed to support the weight of the monitor very nicely. The only thing I would add is to be very careful handling it, i suspect that many of the reports of problems with the screen is a result of improper handling, or the occasional DOA. I kept the box for when i move, and follow the instructions on how to handle it and have had nothing but love for this monitor.

I like the stand. The monitor is plenty bright, I never have to use it above 10% brightness. The controls are also good. I only have two complaints, first is the power adapter, its this giant plug that wastes a entire power outlet, I wish they used a regular tv cable like most monitors and tv with the power supply in the monitor itself. In addition, my biggest complaint is the hdmi ports. It only has HDMI 2.0, so it cannot input 1440p at 144hz through hdmi, only through displayport. The best resolution it can use with the HDMI is 1440p at 60hz or 1080p at 120hz.

The power cord is not just too short, it is incredibly short. My desk is placed in the only spot that can accommodate everything, there is no moving it. And why should I have to reconfigure my entire room because LG didnt make their power cords long enough? Unless I can come up with a solution, this is going back. If you can supply me with a new, longer power cord, I would appreciate it.

This monitor serves my purpose just as I need. 144hz IPS 1440p. However, the first thing I did after setting it up was running the online ghosting test. After less than 5 minutes, I was left with burn marks from the white dots for the pursuit camera (the white dots in the black bars between the UFOs). I contacted support, performed a hard reset, and everything was back to normal. Trust me when I say it passed the test, though. There is a small amount of blur, 2millimeters at its worst, but these are the limits of IPS panels (especially budget IPS panels). It is likely the ghosting test just doesnt play nice with certain monitors due to its nature, but for a burn in to occur within 5 minutes of using the monitor is alarming, to say the least. Therefore: TURN ON YOUR SLEEP MODE I will be keeping this monitor, should I have no more issues. I will update this review if there is any more burn in and if it is permanent or not, and how it was caused. Update: It has been almost a year, and this monitor still performs beautifully. No dead pixels, no increase in blur.

Immerse yourself in your favorite games with this fast IPS monitor featuring a 1ms (GtG) response time, wide viewing angles, and high color accuracy with sRGB 99%. See moving objects on the screen more clearly with a high native 144 Hz refresh rate and 1ms Motion Blur Reduction. NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium support virtually eliminates screen tearing and minimize stutter in high-resolution and fast-paced games for a fast and fluid gaming experience with supported video cards. Dynamic Action Sync reduces input lag and elevates your gameplay, allowing you to respond to your opponents quickly, while Black Stabilizer allows you to see them more clearly in the dark. Use the Crosshair feature for enhanced vision and precision in first-person shooters. Adjust the tilt, height, and pivot for the best ergonomics, ensuring that you have the most comfortable viewing position to play your games.
