> 24 hourIts a good monitor ignoring its HDR spec but my main issue is that its just SO DANG BRIGHT even at the lowest setting to the point where I always leave it on the lowest brightness and it still singes my eyes. I wish LG would release firmware for it that let it get dimmer without sacrificing color accuracy but I know they wont do it for a low tier product like this. If you really hate bright screens and usually leave your phone on low or very low brightness then look into some other stuff because late night gaming with this will sing your eyes and make sure to keep you awake.

> 24 hourIf this is your first fast refresh monitor, you will love ti. However, if you are very nit picky about gaming monitors, then this one will just be ok. However, I usually buy business class monitors for work (development), and I loved this monitor. It looked great, this stand was great allowing me to pivot to landscape, etc. I did end up returning the monitor, but not cause I did not like it. I got it on sale for a great price, and I could not find a second one close to that price, I run dual monitor setups. I would have love to keep it, as I would not have to buy a VESA mount. I ended up getting a couple Gigabyte monitor, with slight different specs but look the same. Anyway, this LG made me started to game a lot more just to see it in action. Trust me, thats the best compliment, as I rarely game, and just work non stop. Get it, you will like it.

> 24 hourI hate writing reviews, but I love this Monitor. I can recommend it without question. Too often folks want a review the day you receive an item. This company did not ask for one. I think I know why-- They know their products are the best.

> 24 hourIn the quest for finding the most value for money gaming monitor, prior to buying LG 27GL83A-B I own a Dell S2417DG (1440p with GSYNC) , though the specs are great with this Dell monitor for the price its offered , there were major banding issues with the TN Panel , had to do custom calibration and gamma adjustments to get a picture quality anywhere near to acceptable. With all my other monitors being IPS panel with high color accuracy I just couldnt get satisfied with Dell . As I started searching the market again, every IPS 1440P gaming monitor with high response rate was way beyond my budget for casual gaming. And now LG brought this gem of a IPS gaming monitor to the market for a reasonable price. It doesnt have G-SYNC hardware module like the Dell S417DG since its adaptive sync driven , but really who cares? G-SYNC still works flawlessly with Nvidia GPU , Runs at 144 Hz , great blacks, decent factory calibration and color accuracy and I highly recommend to keep the response rate at factory default . At 144hz the default response time works just fine . To top it LG panel and overall product quality is top notch - no dead pixels, no noticeable bleed, no flimsy plastics. Its a no brainer buy for the price . Go for it and you wouldnt regret. 1440P is the current sweet spot for gaming monitors, unless you own a crazy powerful rig on SLI to run games at 4k. I bet you still wont be able to max out anywhere near to 144hz especially if you are into FPS. Cons: Its hard to be giving any negative for this product considering the price, however few small things 1) You cannot swivel the screen 2) Switching to Faster Response rate causes negative ghosting (Only if you look for it) 3) Doesnt have the RGB light circle behind the monitor like other LG Gaming monitors , instead its a Red Circle strip. Now My Gaming PC (Red and Black theme) and this Monitor goes so well together, I dont even know if thats a Con. Mostly a personal preference or choice.

> 24 hourOverall: Great Purchase, would buy again Pros: +Both my first 144Hz and 1440p monitor, and can I just say, WOW. What a difference that refresh rate makes! I mostly play first person shooter games, and the difference really is night and day. +The bump in resolution isnt as noticeable to me, but I never was one to care much past 1080p. The image does indeed feel somewhat sharper however, and the added pixel count does have the effect of feeling like theres more room on screen in any use case. +Colors also are excellent, very vibrant and pop off the screen, at least to my eyes. +Coming from a 60hz 1080p display, the biggest differences were in the refresh rate and the SIZE. My previous monitor was only 21.5 inches, and the extra 5.5 on this model feels massive. +The stand feels solid enough, adjusts relatively easy, and leaves plenty of room on my desk with its wide, thin footprint. +All in all, a superior gaming experience from a 60hz display. Games like DOOM and Counter Strike feel buttery smooth, and are massively more immersive on such a larger display. +Bundle this monitor with a great GPU like an RTX 3070 as I have, and you are in for an excellent gaming experience. +Excellent quality control with my unit, not a single dead pixel and minimal backlight bleed in one corner. +Gsync works well with no problems or issues, and screen tearing is nonexistent. Cons: -The only con that I would be able to name would be the backlight bleed. This is an incredibly common problem to IPS type displays such as this, and is largely unavoidable and will be present to some extent, but on my unit the problem is minimized to the bottom left corner of the display and is only really noticeable on screens where deep blacks are presented. A mostly nonissue with my use, and the intended use of this display, gaming. I would however recommend a different monitor if your use would be video editing, or video streaming.

> 24 hourI have had this monitor for a bit over a year now. It has performed great for me and I am happy with my purchase. I have seen other reviews where people are experiencing issues with the screen flickering after a few days to months of use. I have had no such problem thus far. This is the nicest monitor I have owned and have been blown away with its performance. I use this single monitor for looking at family photos, browsing the internet, watching streamed movies/shows and playing games like Fallout 4 and Final Fantasy XV. The graphics are great. I have this monitor paired with an Nvidia GTX 1660 Supper, I think an RTX 3060ti or 3070 would be better for the 1440p gaming but those RTX cards are the same as gold right now. Based solely on my experience, I would recommend this monitor to others, especially if you catch it on sale. Like any product these days, I feel its a roll of the dice any time I make a purchase. 90% of the time things work out fine, the other 10% seems to fail spectacularly.

> 24 hourThe monitor is absolutely fantastic. Its for sure the best monitor Ive ever owned and will definitely be with me for a long time. THE RESOLUTION: 1440p is absolutely better than 1080p. I had my doubts about how much better it actually is. I instantly noticed a difference when I played some games on it, and even just watching videos and looking at your desktop. I even had some family members who wouldnt even know what 1440p was and they all said that there was a clear difference. THE REFRESH RATE: This wasnt my first 144hz monitor, but it is the best one. I think its the fact that its combined with all the other things this monitor does well. But lemme put it to you this way, having a higher refresh rate isnt like watching something move faster. Its like when it moves, you can see more of it, you see more detail while its moving, and you can keep track of it better. Seriously, If you are reading this and you havent had a 144hz experience yet, I HIGHLY recommend just buying a montior like this one that has 144hz capabilities. EVERYTHING ELSE: Realistically, the only other good features of this monitor is G-Sync, which is pretty good. You have the 1ms response time, which is good and bad. The 1ms response time setting increases ghosting, which this isnt an issue with just this monitor. And having a bigger screen is nice as well. Its just a fantastic monitor. My monitor before this was a Viotek one and I was very disappointed with that one because it had dead pixels. Now there are bad eggs in every batch, but viotek seemed to send me 2 different monitors that had dead pixels. One after I returned my old one, waited 3 months to get a new one, and the new one had more dead pixels than the one before. Basically what Im saying is, even though this monitor would be about $50-$100 more expensive than something from a cheaper brand, its quality control and customer service promises that make it more expensive. And thats worth it more than the features that this monitor has. Ive had several LG monitors in the past and Ive had no issues with any of them. The only negative is that the stand is not very good. I mean, its a basic stock stand... Thats about it. Its too big, and generally looks ugly. I just dont like it that much, and I feel like it takes up too much room on my desk.

> 24 hourI have owned this monitor for 3 years straight now with ZERO issues. This monitor is boring.. which is a GOOD thing for PC parts. I use it 10-16 hours a day EVERY DAY for work and gaming, never had an issue. One thing i dont like is that the i/o is on the back and not underneath (like going upward into the monitor). This has made other mounting solutions a little difficult, may need a 90 degree cable or adapter for wall or desk mounted setups Other than that its perfect. You wont be upset with this imo.
