> 24 hourI absolutely love this monitor so far. For starters it shipped flawlessly. Opened it up and it was quite easy to assemble with only 3 or so pieces. Looked great the second I plugged it in and even better after I tweaked the visual settings. Sometimes I will be using it and just have to say out loud how much I love this monitor the only thing that would have made it better is if it was curved but for the price you cant beat the quality. This monitor is capable of 2k resolution and is perfect for people looking for a g-sync compatible monitor it comes with an hdmi and display port so no need to buy those either. Very vibrant color and a nice settings panel . I was at first confused as to where the settings button was for the monitor but I found it (its under the bottom screen border in the middle). This monitor does not have speakers and I would reccomend just getting a set of speakers from your favorite audio brand if it is in your budget. I have not had the best experience with built in monitor speakers. It does have red on the back of the monitor but it is hardly noticable from the front. It does not have a headset stand built in either. And the screen will not lower below about 3 1/2 inches. The structural integrity of the monitors frame is simple yet sturdy. (Note that these screens are not meant to be touched touching them could result in dead pixels). Overall I highly recommend this monitor because its a good bang for your buck but I also do advise doing some research and taking things into account such as where its going to be placed what picture quality your going for the purpose for getting the monitor ect... as an example this would be an over kill monitor for an office in most cases and you could go with something cheaper with different better features. Getting back on subject this PC is a very good slightly above mid range monitor for gaming and very impressive overall Im excited to see what it looks like with its corresponding gpu!

> 24 hourGiven the usual stellar reviews this has had, I thought Id add a note about my experience. I purchased this monitor ALMOST a year ago. That almost is important. I was completely and totally satisfied with it. The colors were sharp, the response times were phenomenal, and I couldnt have been more satisfied with it. Unfortunately, today, it died. Not a blank screen of death, but a prismatic screen of death.. I know it was the monitor because my SECOND monitor was still working great, and the menu of this monitor wouldnt even show. It was a white, segmented line in the middle of the screen. The colors were pretty, but functionally, it was completely borked. That said, it WAS still under warranty. I communicated with LG support, who asked for the invoice and serial number, then arranged to have a box shipped and a prepaid shipping label e-mailed to me, leaving me only with the task of packing the monitor up and dropping it off at the carrier theyve selected to be repaired/replaced. The turn-around time, according to the rep, was 2-3 weeks. So IF you have a warranty on it, you get NO HASSLES in getting it fixed for free. And because of my experience, I am considering investing in some extended warranties if theyre still offered. The interesting thing is that I have a 12 year old ASUS LCD monitor that still works (last time I tried it) that Ill use as my second screen until this monitor is fixed and returned. I can limp along with a second monitor literally half of the resolution of this one until this one is fixed. So, one star off for dying within a year, but no MORE than that because LG gave me NO hassles in getting it sent to them and fixed/replaced (whichever the outcome happens to be). Ive yet to check into extended warranties, but Id HOPE that the fix has at least another year on it. Ill update this review if I cant get extended warranties OR if the warranty on the fix isnt good for another year. [Edit to add: I take back all the nice things I said about LG, and deduct another star for what happened after I posted this review. I received my monitor back a couple of weeks after I sent it in, and the monitor arrive in a new box, but the power supply had been placed on the wrong side of the box. The result was one of the power supplys prongs was jammed into the power supply itself during shipping, likely destroying the board to which it was mounted and making it useless. I contacted LG, of course, and talked with customer service, I sent them the same picture I posted here, and they said theyd replace it. They did not. Its been almost two months. I knew it would take some time so I bought a compatible PSU from Amazon in the meantime, but I was without my monitor for considerably longer than planned, pushing my productivity levels into the toilet. The monitor did work (though Ive had one unexplained, momentary black screen on it and not my second screen that hasnt yet happened again) after I got a PSU for it, but I shouldnt have had to wait in the first place. The PSU shipped with the monitor was new (I had marked it to see if they replaced it) and the monitor itself had been repaired (the mark I put on the monitor is still there). But the monitor without the special PSU is pretty pointless, and put me far more behind than planned. So what should have been a fully warranted repair ended up costing me the price of a new PSU because someone at LGs repair vendor doesnt know how to pack a PSU properly. As for extending the warranty, Im going to go with another brand next time.]

> 24 hourThese LG Ultragear Gaming Monitors are still great in 2023. From the 1440p & 144hz, to the amazing OSD/UI for your desired settings. The stub on the bottom controls the OSD, and WOW! I never thought navigating through a OSD was so seemless (as Ive only had office Monitors before hand). Great upgrade, and excellent product. Note: Most people dont know about the required 1y warranty by LG. Just contact them, tell them the problem, and send it in to be repaired.

> 24 hourIts a good monitor ignoring its HDR spec but my main issue is that its just SO DANG BRIGHT even at the lowest setting to the point where I always leave it on the lowest brightness and it still singes my eyes. I wish LG would release firmware for it that let it get dimmer without sacrificing color accuracy but I know they wont do it for a low tier product like this. If you really hate bright screens and usually leave your phone on low or very low brightness then look into some other stuff because late night gaming with this will sing your eyes and make sure to keep you awake.

> 24 hourMonitor died after 5 months of use. It powers on but the screen remains blank, it wont even show its own menus. Any computer it plugs into will freeze up and enter a boot loop until unplugged from the monitor. The monitor is well within the manufacturer warranty but the process is so deliberately obtuse that it may as well not exist. This is my last LG product for sure. Update: It took a few weeks of having to repeatedly ask if a shipping label had been sent before a CSR was able to confirm that one would be arriving. It did eventually show up and I was able to box up the monitor and drop it off with fedex at no charge to myself. Other than the tracking number I was given for the shipment to the repair facility I was not given any additional information at any point about the repair status. A few weeks later a new fedex tracking number was sent to me for the return trip; it arrived about a week later. It does appear to be working as expected again. We will see how long it lasts. My experience with the repair process seems about average, other reviewers have described both much faster/smoother experiences and much longer/difficult ones. In any case I am happy to have a working monitor or again and despite the inconvenience I am relatively pleased with the whole interaction.

> 24 hourThis is a beautiful monitor. I had a 60Hz monitor that I had been using for many years and recently got a new video card and I just had to get a monitor that would take advantage of its features. G-sync works wonderfully with my RTX 3080 and the colors are nice and bright. With Windows HDR on it has a purple tint when looking at it from an angle but you cant see it at all when looking straight at it and its not present with Windows HDR turned off. Im still on the fence about whether Windows HDR is necessary. In most cases its better to leave it off but this isnt the fault of this monitor. There are many topics on the internet about how bad Windows HDR is but they have been improving it and a recent update did fix a lot of issues though its still not without. It does make videos look nice but has issues with some games. 1440P is a great resolution and offers a lot more screen real estate than what 1080P does and is great for games. Im not seeing any backlight bleed or dead pixels. There is no tearing or weird flashing in games and I can run every game I play on maximum settings and get great FPS with surprisingly very little to no FPS difference between 1080P and 1440P. I had reservations about getting this monitor because of some of the negative reviews but for the great price so far for me it has been an excellent upgrade. I have also found the OnScreen Control app to be very handy but make sure to turn off Windows Snap or it may cause conflicts. Im glad it doesnt have useless RGB lighting on the back that no one can see unless its night time and you turn off all of the lights in your room either. I have never understood why that feature is on some monitors. Pro tip: Turn off Automatic Standby if you use Windows Power and Sleep settings to control your monitors Sleep time. Of course if any issues come up I will update this review but for now I highly recommend this monitor.

> 24 hourOld monitor sat to low on table ended up falling while using styrofoam blocks... and it had this on/off button you had to hold for 5 sec to turn it off. Ive got 2 other LG monitors this one included has the on/off button in the same place and you just push in - select power off - very nice and easy. This telescopic stem is just the answer for up/down and tilt... and dont forget that universal on/off button. Very happy with this good buy worth the money so far.

> 24 hourId like to start by saying, ever since LG invented the wallpaper TV, Ive developed loyalty, strictly on their displays for everything. They are cheaper then Samsung, yet more innovative, so, kudos. That said, if my review sounds at all biased, Im sorry. There are no defects on the monitor I received. Ran an Ezio test and found nothing that stands out. Something to be aware of, is that if you purchase a VESA mount, it needs to be 100x100, and even if that mount has spacers, you may need some washers to compensate for a gap. The reason for this, is to keep the back flat and uniform when installing the stand it comes with, but considering monitors these days are naturally very thin, this causes a problem by limiting the female port length for the screws needed to secure a VESA mount. In my case, 8 small washers I had left over from other projects fixed this problem. Something else worth noting is it is Nvidia G-Sync compatible (there is an attractive sticker showing this monitor is capable of it on the bottom left that Im assuming can be removed). My Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super recognized that it is a G-Sync compatible monitor, and I was able to enable G-Sync thru the Nvidia Control Panel, however, when you view settings on the monitor itself, it is called Adaptive Sync. From what Ive read, this is because they used to be one in the same, and it works just the same as far as I can tell. Enabling it in the Nvidia Control Panel made the monitor settings show Adaptive Sync: Enabled. One feature I really liked that I wasnt aware of when buying this monitor, is that the settings button is a small joystick. If clicked in it opens the settings window, if towards you or away from you, it allows you to adjust the brightness, and left or right is headphone volume. Overall very nifty for one button. If you need a VESA mount but arent sure what to get, this is what I ordered: VIVO Dual LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Heavy Duty Fully Adjustable fits 2 /Two Screens up to 27 (STAND-V002). Mine is a dual mount but you can choose between double and single. The mount itself is extremely sturdy. Zero wobble and aesthetically pleasing, as it has a cable management system and you can hide the VIVO logo on the main support pole if you want to (I did, Im not the biggest fan of logos). But not to veer off the topic or review, 2560 x 1440 @ 144hz for under $400 from LG w/ G-Sync compatibility is the most perfect monitor I could ask for. 2k is ideal for gaming as 4k is too demanding for AAA titles (for about 90% of the Gaming PC Community and 100% of the eSports Community). One last thing Ive noticed, is that I have had a 4k screen in the past, and noticed the resolution makes everything extremely tiny (the taskbar being the most obvious reference). 2k is the sweet spot, because its not too small, but there is now enough real estate for a 27 monitor to be all I need (for gaming). When I get into photo editing, etc., I will likely purchase a 4k monitor, but only for shows, movies, and editing. I do self-taught audio production work, and 27 2k is more then enough for me. Some producers use widescreen monitors, which is great for them, Im sure, but not necessary after seeing this thing. Thank you LG, for the ultimate monitor, and thank you Amazon, for an undamaged product.
