Greater than one weekI received a used kit that had used shims in it. The second one that showed up was good. Unfortunately I had to use shims out of the first kit so I ended up with both. Oh well... I guess its a gamble but now I should be good for a while on shims.

> 3 dayKit had all the shims I needed to shim the valves in my 2006 Yamaha FZ1. Have put several thousand miles on it since I shimmed the valves and its definitely running smoother/stronger. The shims are all labeled by laser printing which helps a ton, and I measured quite a few of them to be sure they were accurate, and they are.

> 3 dayworked as they should. measurements could have bein a little more clear but not bad. you get a magnifying glass to look at them.

> 3 dayOrdered the kit to do the valves on my 2004 GSXR1000. Arrived promptly, shims fit perfectly. Also the laser etching seems to be superior to the stamp method used by Suzuki. The ink had worn off some of the stock shims. I dont think that will happen with these Hot Cam laser etched shims. Highly recommend. Darren W. San Diego Ca.

> 3 dayThe quality of the product is good but they sent the wrong size! I was sent 9.48mm shims. Someone stuck a 7.48mm shim sticker over the 9.48mm sticker. Just awful quality assurance.

> 3 daymy Exhaust side on my yz250f was .15 using a caliper and feeler guages i was able to use this kit with no problems. Now im at .18 and .20 well within spec. This is one of the most important maintenance items you can do on a 4 stroke other then change the oil. Shipping was quick and the procedure of shiming is not that hard other then taking the Cams out which is no biggie. this kit has it all no trips to the dealer and within 3-4 shim jobs this kit is putting money in your pocket. dealer shims run almost 10$ for a shim the size of hearing aide battery

> 3 dayVery happy about my purchase, im sure its worth every penny. Was very pleasantly surprised to find a small magnifying glass similar to a jewlers loupe in the box to read the fine and worn out print, very handy amazing touch.

> 3 dayA few things to consider about the Hot Cams shim kit. 1) Quality control - I got this shim kit and it was actually missing the sizes I really needed. They had filled some of the bins with the same sizes as the bins next to them. Also kind of makes me wonder how accurate the shims thicknesses may actually be. I had to send it back because I couldnt use it for a valve adjustment. 2) Quality - Cant find any information on the hardness of these shims. Will they last like OEM shims or wear out slowly and change the adjustment? 3) Shim Size range - While technically some of these shims ranges will fit my motorcycle upon further review of the service manual I found that over half the box would not be an option for my bike, because I would technically need to do valve work rather than use shims larger than size x. 4) Quantity of shims - If youre adjusting a 4 cylinder you may have potentially 16 valve/shim combinations. This kit only has 3 of each size. After sending this kit back, I purchased a KL shim kit also available on Amazon. It cost about twice as much but I think its a better deal because: 1) Shims are made in Japan. 2) Shims meet or exceed OEM hardness. 3) Narrower range of shims can be selected so the entire kit is usable on my particular motorcycles. 4) Five shims of each size, really nice when there are 16 valves. Even though the KL kit cost more, you get what you pay for. More shims in the sizes I need and probably better quality. This is the KL kit I purchased but there are multiple size ranges so be sure to check your motorcycles service manual to see which kit may be best for you.

> 3 dayOrdered and went to use and they are 9.48 not the advertised 7.48mm, so I return them saying the kit was mislabeled and order another set and they come. SAME THING! now I have to order them somewhere else and wait another week to put my bike together...
