> 3 dayA few things to consider about the Hot Cams shim kit. 1) Quality control - I got this shim kit and it was actually missing the sizes I really needed. They had filled some of the bins with the same sizes as the bins next to them. Also kind of makes me wonder how accurate the shims thicknesses may actually be. I had to send it back because I couldnt use it for a valve adjustment. 2) Quality - Cant find any information on the hardness of these shims. Will they last like OEM shims or wear out slowly and change the adjustment? 3) Shim Size range - While technically some of these shims ranges will fit my motorcycle upon further review of the service manual I found that over half the box would not be an option for my bike, because I would technically need to do valve work rather than use shims larger than size x. 4) Quantity of shims - If youre adjusting a 4 cylinder you may have potentially 16 valve/shim combinations. This kit only has 3 of each size. After sending this kit back, I purchased a KL shim kit also available on Amazon. It cost about twice as much but I think its a better deal because: 1) Shims are made in Japan. 2) Shims meet or exceed OEM hardness. 3) Narrower range of shims can be selected so the entire kit is usable on my particular motorcycles. 4) Five shims of each size, really nice when there are 16 valves. Even though the KL kit cost more, you get what you pay for. More shims in the sizes I need and probably better quality. This is the KL kit I purchased but there are multiple size ranges so be sure to check your motorcycles service manual to see which kit may be best for you.

> 3 dayI verified every shim before use and all where within spec. Size and fit was very good on the bike. Box is very useful to store many shims.

Greater than one weekShipping was quick and the product was what I expected. The sizes on the shims matched what the calipers said and now my bike runs again. Theres nothing bad to say about Hot Cams shims.

Greater than one weekThey worked. Definitely had to get creative because there wasnt really enough of some sizes. Wish I could buy in a pack with 5 of each size (20 valves). Used on a 2009 Yamaha FZ1.

> 3 dayKit was missing a shim, but I could not return the kit due to time constraints regarding my service interval. Overall a very complete kit, just double check that all the shims are accounted for upon receipt.

> 3 dayIt would be nice if there were a little tighter tolerances with the shims but they work. It is much easier to go with a kit like this than mess around with pulling the shims, going to a dealer and getting them one at a time. I ended up ordering a restocking kit for the range that I use the most of so that I had enough. When you have a V4 bike with 4 valves per cylinder, there are not enough shims to complete the job if you have a few cylinders in the same range. After borrowing this kit a couple times from fellow bikers, I broke down and bought my own kit.

> 3 dayHad all the shims I needed. Had to replace shims for my 2014 FZ-09. All exhaust valves were to tight. These Lil ching-a-deeries here saved a bunch of time and made the job easy. Couldnt be more happier.

> 3 dayGreat value for the price. The case doesnt do a good job of keeping the sizes separate, if you tip it on its end or upside down they get all mixed up and you need to read the sizes off of them to sort them. Which can be tedious and difficult. I recommend sorting them some other way.

Greater than one weekIt is exactly what it claims to be. I reset the valves on my CB500X and had to take 4 shims out of this box, which means it nearly paid for itself on the first use.

Greater than one weekNot much to say solid product, must-have for any modern 4 stroke if you plan on keeping it for a while
