GENIE G3T-R 3-Button Remote with Intellicode Security Technology Controls Up To 3 Garage Door Openers, 1 Pack, Original Version

The item looks good. I like the compact and contemporary look to this opener. My old one that came with the opener was much larger and clunky. This little Genie is a nice fit and its feel is good too, the buttons are soft rubber. The only complaint I have is that is range is shorter than the old controller. I have to pull up into my driveway almost to the door before the thing will open, and that was never like that before with the old controller. So, all in all, it linked up with my genie Accellerator unit just fine, it looks good, its compact, but the range is weak.

Very easy to install and program!

While I cant fault the price or fulfillment, the experience of syncing these remotes with my Genie Intellicode garage door openers was a real hassle, I ended up having to spend about half an hour on hold while trying to call Genie tech support. The lady I eventually spoke with was very helpful and fully resolved my difficulties. Still, the wait seemed a bit extreme. Also, these remotes seem to emit a very feeble radio signal, to the point where it is necessary to lower the sun visor in the car so that the remote has direct line of sight to the garage door, and then be very close to the door for the remote to work properly. Mashing the button hard and holding it down seems to help a bit.

Process of syncing was very simple. Just press the program button on the garage door opener, then press the button you want to program. I only wish the range was longer. I need to be on my driveway to open the garage. Cant open it from the street. So I always have to wait for the garage door to finish opening before I can enter. Also on a few occasions, while leaving, I have backed out too far where it doesnt reach, so I have to drive back to close it. Aside from that. It does what its supposed to. Small and convenient.

Easy to program - thought I would have a problem utilizing this with an old system, but took just a few minutes to sync the two! Compact and much easier to carry than the bulky old door remotes. Bought two a few months ago and both have performed flawlessly! Went back today to buy two more and was shocked to find that the price had almost doubled over the last 2 months - would love to hear the rationalization for this .......Simply ridiculous.

The original replacement remotes were discontinued a while ago so when my last one quit working I was worried Id need a whole new opener. Nope, these work great on the old old old intellicode openers. Only the middle button will open the door. It can also be pretty tough to find the program button on your opener unit. Its just a little tiny plastic push button. Some are red, some purple. Mine was white. Therell be a little LED near it. If you push it quickly the LED will flash and you can add your new remote by pressing its middle button which will cause the LED on the opener to stop flashing. You can also clear the openers memory which will remove all programmed remotes. This is done by pressing and holding the program button on the opener for about 10 seconds.

Took less then a minute to connect it to the base and it works wonderfully.

Easy instructions! As soon as it arrived in the mail, only a few minutes later installed is all done! We only had one and needed another. Im glad I read the reviews regarding connecting the remote to the garage opener machine. Much easier if you own a Genie machine. Would recommend.
