Only used as a gamex drive. Died while updating a game. My little 8 or more year old adata that used to power my Windows is still working like a champ with 1gb to spare, so guess its time to send some business their way. Crucial, youre on a really short list of hard drives that Ive had fail in 3 decades, and I think theres only 1 SSD on there. And I have to run 4g hotspots for internet. Never again.

I installed a Crucial MX500 as a replacement for the original HDD in my Fujitsu AH532 Lifebook and the final results are astounding. Previously my boot times between 90 and 120 seconds and now it is 17 seconds! I used the Acronis software provided for free on the Crucial website in the SSD support area. The software is glitchy and it installs numerous services that start at boot-up and run in the background. You will have to disable these items in the computer management pane in windows. Basically the Acronis software did eventually clone my boot drive. Installation and mounting of the Crucial MX500 SSD was straight forward, it mounted with the existing screws. A perfect fit! After installation I checked the BIOS configuration and verified that the settings for the drive were correctand booted up the Lifebook, and the magic began. Every operation within windows was noticeably faster - best described as just purchasing the fastest current laptop. Outstanding! If you are on the fence debating the merits of installing this SSD, get off the fence and just go for it.

Had great performance for the price. I always wanted to try crucial since I always used Samsung products. Great performance for all applications, bought a 250gb for the is and a 1tb for games. Highly recommended

You will NOT be disappointed if you buy this SSD. Im using it as a secondary disk in my mini-PC and man is it fast. Cant yet speak to long-term reliability, but Crucial is a credible US-based company, a division of Micron. Im really happy with the performance of this drive.

Really fast! Windows 10 boot up into desktop before my monitor even turn on.

Installed in older Dell Inspiron laptop after cloning the drive with Macrium Reflect software. Laptop booted so much faster, no issues
