Took my computer from slug to useable!

This replaced a WD Blue SSD drive that started to have issues, even though it is less than a year old. It passed any diags that I ran on it but still would have a read / write lag. I replaced it with this MX500 SSD and resolved the lag. I am a long time user of WD hard drives but as of lately, do not hold up well. I reviewed the top SSD drives and this one got a lot of high reviews. Glad I purchased it.

I bought this SSD when my HDD took a dive. After reading all the info on why an SSD was better, I decided to foot the extra money and get one. It was very easy to install and has been working nicely. I cant say that it is leaps better in speed than my old HDD, but it does seem to be able to keep up with my fast pace of computer usage. I hope that it lasts for many years and that I wont have to buy another HD anytime in the near future.

I ordered this hard drive thinking that CRUCIAL was a reliable brand that I could trust and unfortunately I didnt read the reviews on this product before purchasing it and so I ordered it. I was looking at the price and figured WOW! What A Great Deal On A Solid State Hard Drive! I ordered it for my 2013 Macbook Pro 13inch which would be stationary in my room. Not even 6 months later, the hard drive failed out of nowhere! I barely evn used it to begin with! I just installed it, turn my laptop on & off a few months at a time and then when I wanted to really do some work, my laptop didnt even recognize it!! Good thing I had a external! But as for the hard drive, I had to open up my Mac, remove it, purchase the Samsung EVO and re-install that in my Macbook pro. I have conventional hard drives that Ive had for at least 10yrs and more and no problems!! They still run til this day!! I only upgraded because I needed more storage and I figured a SSD would be faster in which it was for a short while but after 6 months, it just failed? Crucial really shouldnt be selling these at all, I just wasted my money for nothing and I really wish that I was able to get my money back but its been a few months now! Smh.....

This is my second Crucial SSD after those faulty Seagate 1TB sata hard disks, this Crucial is great! fast and easy to install, no a hiccup with none of my two, planning to get another one in the future, is great for gaming and windows apps.

The drive is finally running great, but the cloning software didnt work, requiring me to reload windows and all my programs
