Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1

I upgraded my HP Pavilion 15 laptop from 8Gb of RAM to 16Gb (Crucial 16GbKit) and the original 1Tb HDD to a Crucial 2Tb SSD. Windows 10 boot time from a cold start went from 10-12 minutes (!) to about 15-20 seconds! The laptop is so much more responsive than it was - like getting a brand new machine. Not sure how much of the speed increase is attributable to just the RAM upgrade, but between the 2 Crucial upgrades, the performance gain is astonishing. Highly recommended.

I bought this as a storage drive to set beside my two M2 drives. Responsive, test speeds could be better in my opinion, but she dished out exactly what she says she would. No degrade issues (already formatted once) installed and reinstalled 200-250~ gigs or more already. No data loss at all.

The SSD did not clone my hardrive exactly. It left out key parts of my operating system (windows 7) so I could not not run windows updates or other featires like the snipping tool. Tried to reclone twice but still the same issue. Tech support wasnt very helpful and told me to call Microsoft. This issue was not present on the previous hard drive. Product seems ok but didnt work for me.

The free Acronis disk imaging software worked great. Replacing the spinning disk with this SSD provided a boot speed difference that I never expected to see. Yes, I expected the laptop to boot much faster, but I never expected it to boot as fast as it does now! My only regret is not getting this SSD sooner.
