Greater than one weekUPDATE***** Old review below. The projector made it just about 3 years of use and 1400 hours, now HDMI ports totally dead. It will not run a long 4k HDMI cable. Wont work. The her setting is so white washed its useless, unless you are able to figure how to set it properly. Non hdr it works great. Has an auto sense for projector fitment. Have never touched the focus and non hdr colors look very good.

Greater than one weekThis Benq projector rocks! 3D is perfect - with a projection size of 120 inches is a total imersion - great experience - movies wich I found not so good now lock enhanced. I was wasting my time with a 3D TV a projector is the answer if you are a 3D enthusiast. 4K HDR with a dark room is fantastic - cinema at home! Although it is not meant for living room viewing I watched the Superbowl on it and even with some lights on it is perfect image. It has VIVID TV and BRIGHT mode to make it possible some living room experience. For me a perfect purchase.

> 3 dayThis projector is awesome. I have had four different projectors over the years. Obviously this being the newest it has become my favorite. It does not support Dolby Vision, my only down side and not worth marking down because I knew that when I bought it. It puts up a clear image and the auto iris is amazing. I run a Xbox One X on it and plays 4k content with easy. The video game responsiveness is perfect and think this would be a perfect addition. Brightness is also a plus on this. Total darkness is always ideal, I have mine in the garage and I will crack the garage about 6-8 inches for airflow during the day. It lets sunlight into the garage, not a lot, but i can clearly enjoy watching TV or movies on the projector. Load time is about 1-2 minutes from start to get to full brightness. Another quality product from BenQ

Greater than one weekDim bulb that flickers during bright scenes. HORRIBLE customer service: they disregard every issue I’ve consulted with them. The colors were completely messed up on the first one I received and the hdr didn’t work. BENQ technical support refused to help and I had to get Amazon involved to receive a replacement. Instead of saying our projectors have defects, they tell you that their projectors don’t have defects.

> 3 dayGreat looking projector Im in the process of building a home theater. This will be the first one Ive put together and I agonized over which projector I was going to buy for a long time. Lamp or laser? Did I need 4k? What about HDR? Was LG a better choice or Optoma? Eventually, I read a very detailed review of the upcoming BenQ HT3550 that made it sound really great. It had the specs I wanted and it was right in my price range, so I made the leap and ordered one. It took about 3 weeks to arrive but I finally got it on Friday. I got it set up fired it up to make sure it works. Everything works great, setup was very easy, and it looks absolutely stunning. The picture is really extraordinary and the colors are fantastic. Its very quiet. And since I didnt have my surround sound system fully set up, I just used the internal speakers and those even sound pretty decent. All in all, this is a fantastic value for the money and I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayI decided to upgrade from my 5yr old W1070 which has never let me down. All I can say is WOW, the HT3550 is a day and night difference. Im not sure whats to come in 5 more years but Im confident BenQ will be on the top of my upgrade list...again. (the pics are in a fully lit room without any projector adjustments)

> 3 dayBefore buying this projector, i did do a lot of research. Criteria for buying this projector: 1. Price below $1700 2. 4K capability 3. HDR10 capability 4. HDCP support 5. Best for watching movies in dark room 6. Small Room With the above criteria in mind, i narrowed down to two projectors: The Optoma UHD60 and the Benq HT3550. Reason to choose Benq: 1. Projects 100 from 8.2ft so works in small room 2. Small footprint 3. HDR10 compatibility and the Rec 709 coverage. While the Optoma has better contrast ratio and higher lumens so in theory is a better projector but to watch movies i found the picture quality of Benq better. I did watch contents on both(not side by side). So far I am happy with my purchase and the picture quality has been really great. I watch Netflix HDR content and they are visually so appealing.

> 3 dayAbsolutely LOVE this projector. However, the bulb/lamp burned out after only a few hours of use. Luckily it was within the return period so Amazon replaced it with a new one.
