> 3 dayAwesome movie projector. Amazing picture Colors. It’s like in a theatre watching movies. Wish they had bundled something for external audio for theatre like audio. I had to do my own setup with wiring on the celing.

> 3 dayI owned at least 8 projectors in my life time and this is the best projector I ever owned. The 4k on this is extremely sharp the colors are vibrant and the image brightness at 2000 lms is bright enough for my semi darken room. It throws a powerful image I found that the cinema mode is the best. This projector is not noisy at all very quiet. The only issue I have is that it throws a lot of heat wont notice if mounted on the ceiling I have mine next to me on a table. Other than that I love this projector.

> 3 dayI expected a lot about this projector but as soon as I turned on, there were lines left side- I thought it was for alignment or something but over time, the lines don’t disappear. So disappointed.

> 3 dayThis does not work as a short throw replacement. Therefore, Benq has ignored thousands of its currently installed user base who wish to upgrade to 4k. How dumb is that? I am now shooting a 105 screen at a 6 distance. I would have to move this one back 3 at least. Go to projector central to figure it out yourselves.

> 3 dayas a projector enthusiast (over 17 years) I can say that this is the the best projector I have ever own in my life. I use it in my home cinema room and its just breathtaking. here is my take on it. used for movies and gaming. (PC and PS5) Pros: sharp, low input lag, bright. Pros and cons of Ht3550. Pros: Sharp as a razor blade. Contrast ratio. Amazing image depth. The colors are 100 % accurate out of the box. The quiet hum of 4k chip, you cant really hear it. No light border around the image. Dynamic iris (a good thing to have but not a deal-breaker) Lens ceiling light shield. Breath-taking hdr capability. (still cant find my jaw) Cons: some say it has a high input lag but it never bothered me in games. my tests showed about 50/55MS without the dynamic iris and about 77 with dynamic iris turned on. (i game without the dynamic iris) but I dont feel it in any game I play on Ps5. 2000 lumens, works best in dark rooms. Image syncs two sides of the screen for a minute. (only at startup). purple Fringing/ chromatic aberration. its only visible up close and as soon as you gain some distance from the projector screen it goes completely away. it is known with this model and it should not bother anyone owning this projector. although rated 2000 lumens I would say its about 2500. I have another 2200 projector and HD3550 blows it out of the water. I am not playing FPS games so I have never seen input lag, dont let this issue stir you away from this amazing projector. 4k gaming on my ps5 is just stunning and frankly, sometimes unbelievable how amazing it looks. The cons are very negligible vs the pros. I dont know how Benq managed to do this in this price range but its just nothing short of amazing.

> 3 dayI just received this projector yesterday and am incredibly disappointed in the whole user experience as well as all the bugs. For a $1500 projector I expected something way more functional than the Epson my housemates bought for $800. Something seems to be wrong with the HDR mode as sometimes the entire image looks like it has a green overlay on it (EDIT: I fixed this with a software update). Additionally, when HDR mode is on something inside the projector makes a horrible grinding/buzzing sound, like old computer sounds from 15 years ago. The green overlay isn’t always there and the buzzing sound isn’t as well, so there has to be some issue with it. Edit: here is a link to a video of the sound coming from the projector. https://youtu.be/LHJC_qN9Ils Does not play sound from my Sony Blu-Ray player for some reason even though my housemates projector has no problem. Input switching is incredibly slow as are changing some other settings. Sometimes I’ll switch back to my AppleTV 4K and the projector won’t even recognize the input, so I have to restart the projector (which takes five minutes) just to get the AppleTV to show up. I reached out to BenQ yesterday and am waiting to hear back so I can update this review. But if you’re stuck at home right now and are looking for a projector, don’t get this one because it’s not worth the hassle, even without the bugs it’s still a pain in the butt. EDIT: it has been almost a week and I have received no response from BenQ. The image quality is nice, but the whole experience so far has been way too frustrating for something I was so excited to get. Now I feel like a sucker for spending this much money on something that should have been way better. Why does it say “stream Netflix and Prime”? There is no smart TV interface, it’s just saying you can plug in a streaming device through the input. So with that statement it’s clear every statement they make about this projector is just meaningless marketing hype. I expected so much better from BenQ.

> 3 dayBrilliant Black Levels, Very short throw,Dynamic Iris is a very important add on. Lacking on Brightness. Does not support Dolby Digital/DTS Audio 5.1 on Digital Toshlink out. Ideal for small spaces but must have a for very Dark Room to enjoy. Overall its a Good Home Cinema projector.
