> 24 hourMy 14 month old has liked, I mean LOVED Baby Einstein since he was two months old. But he REALLY gets into Baby Wordsworth. I think its because it seems to be a little more advanced than the others and he recognizes things from around our house. He hasnt used any of the signs yet (weve had it two days) but I can already see him connecting what he sees in the video with things around the playroom, kitchen etc. I know he still loves his older ones but this one engages him in a different way. I do see how it may bore much younger babies but if your little is already a big BE fan then this is the perfect addition and a step in a more educational direction.

> 24 hourI have several grandchildren who have learned to sign and I am a strong believer of teaching babies to sign before they can speak to reduce frustration. It is truly amazing. Although the quality of this video is excellent, the words taught are more appropriate for older children. As a result, this DVD did not capture nor hold the attention of my grandchildren. Instead of teaching words like mommy, daddy, baby, milk, eat and drink - this video teaches words such as clock and computer. I must say that I was surprised. My grandchildren learned to sign and speak from My Baby Can Talk and I would recommend this series instead. Not only does My Baby Can Talk teach more appropriate first signs and words but it also shows babies signing, includes a parent tutorial and my grandchildren love it!

> 24 hourAs a huge Marlee Matlin fan and a fan of Baby Einstein, and the mother of a signing 16 month old, I was so excited to get this DVD. It arrived and I watched it with my son almost immediately. I was very disappointed. The pace is slow and did not hold my sons attention. Also, as a teacher and a mother, I know that kids need repitition. There is not nearly enough repetition of each sign, each sign is only repeated twice, once at the beginning of the segment and once at the end. Also, I believe the signs they chose were far too complicated for little ones. Overall, I am not impressed!

> 24 hourThis DVD was very disappointing. My 19 month old son loves the entire collection of Baby Einstein, but this one does not hold his attention. The content is very poor and not suitable for teaching beginning sign language to babies. Many of the signs demonstrated on Baby Wordsworth are too complicated for an infant to learn. We have My Baby Can Talk, which is formatted very much like the other Baby Einstein DVDs. My son loves that one and has learned practically all the signs on it. Were waiting for the second volume to come out and were hoping that the Baby Wordsworth would be a nice complement to it (not the case!). We also have the first few Volumes of Signing Time. My son has learned those signs as well, but he likes the imagery on My Baby Can Talk better whereas Signing Time shows a lot more children actually demonstrating the signs. Hope this review helps.

> 24 hourThis is definately worth the time and money to invest for your child. What a learning experience in teaching tool. Get it! You wont regret it. Your child will love it. I use this in my daycare too and all my children are well beyond their age appropriate learning capacity. Any B.E. video is well worth it!

> 24 hourMy son has been watching the Baby Einstein video series since birth and at the age of two and a half, he is speech delayed and is actively in speech therapy. I think there is a correlation between the Baby Einstein videos and speech delay and sensory development. My son is intelligent, but is not expressive in speech. He understands but cannot express himself with words. The speech therapy is working but we will be in therapy until he is at the level he should be for his age. I also think there is a issue with sensory development. He is my second son and I never had issues with my first son who is now nine and back then Baby Einstein videos were not around. He watched Barney, Sesame Street, and other cartoons that used actual words and communicate dialog between two or more people and not so much sensory fluff. Take caution because I read one review that talked about autism and speech delay being an epidemic in the last five years. I think research needs to be conducted about the effects of Baby Einstein videos on baby and toddler development.
