17-11-2024I have the entire Baby Einstein collection and this is by FAR the best of the bunch. The other videos for this age group are sooooo boring, even my daughter doesnt want to watch them! However, she loves the beautiful music and nature scenes in Baby Monet. She laughs at the zebra puppets and smiles at the children. If youve even been freaked out by the Baby Bach video (lets face it....creepy!) this is a video you really should try! So much better than the rest!!!

> 3 dayExcellent introduction to the seasons for young children. Many visuals can be used to teach art for young children. This DVD holds my 3 year old granddaughters attention. It has a strong relationship between Monets art and the art children can do themselves.

> 3 dayMy son was over 2 before we introduced BE videos. There are definitely those which cater to the younger baby with lots of random images, but this one is great in that it has puppet shows with a little plot, as well as discrete integrated units for each of the seasons. Unlike some of the other BEs with random visuals, here the visuals truly support the learning objective desired. Concur with other reviewers as well that this is the most robust BE video in Bonus Features. It has both puppet shows and another short learning video of all the seasons. And no I didnt care for the commercial either....

> 3 dayThis is my least favorite Baby Einstein DVD. I bought it with great anticipation that my 11 month old would enjoy it as he has all of his other DVDs. I found this one to be slow, which is fine is that can keep your babys attention, but my son watched a couple minutes of this one and started playing. I also was confused by the music at the end - it was very upbeat and fast, but definitely not classical. All of these comments though are just a matter of personal preference, as I think all comments regarding these DVDs are - if your baby likes them, great, but mine just didnt like this newest one.

Greater than one weekWe bought this dvd when my son was just over 3 months old and have played it for him at various ages. In the past 14 months, the video has never once captured his attention as other Baby Einstein titles have. I do not recommend this title.

> 3 dayMy 8 month old has loved this one since she was 6 months old. It it adorable, engaging, shows the change of seasons quite well, and just as good as Baby Noah, Di Vinici, and Macdonald. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayBaby Monet is a good addition to the series and is in the familiar Baby Einstein format - adorable puppet sequences kept my 6 mos old and 2 1/2 year old girls in hysterics (similar to pigs in the mud on Baby McDonald, most are very clever). Zebra characters that change colors with the seasons very cute. Heavy on the gorgeous nature footage, as an adult enjoyed that, interested 2 year old more than the baby. Seems they reused the some of same music tract from Vivaldis Four Seasons from other DVDs, but its the Four Seasons so thats fine and reusing music certainly doesnt matter to toddlers. This one was a hit with my kids, and different enough from the rest of the Einstein series that it warrants a purchase ... we have every Baby Einstein DVD and my girls from 2 months on love all of them, even Galileo. Advertising of Little Einstein before the show starts will get to be annoying over time though. Otherwise, a worthwhile purchase. Glad to have something else in the rotation for my 6 month old who watches Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Einstein over and over ... there definately is something behind the age tags on the DVDs, baby is not into Doolittle, Shakespeare, etc. yet.

> 3 dayBaby Monet begins with a zebra puppet painting two muffins which turn into 2 huts of a Monet painting. It was kind of a long introduction. This has mostly live-action of things in nature, not as many toys as most Baby Einsteins videos; which is nice. So, for spring they show time-lapsed photography of plants and flowers, which was kind of neat. Honestly, I thought this video was boring. It was a bit longer then most Baby Einsteins videos. I dont think there was anything with holidays, which is good for those that dont celebrate the holidays (Babys First Imprssions Seasons had a lot of that). Maybe I just cant appreciate certain artists work but I really did not care at all for the Monet paintings in this video. Frankly I thought they were ugly and it makes me wonder how Monet got so famous.
