> 24 hourIve written a few comments on Baby Einstein and Im not a big fan generally. This one may be slightly better b/c there is some correlation to the music with the images but still very little. When in desperate need of a 30 minute break, it can do the job but Im not a big fan of just allowing her to watch TV in a trance. They dont call it baby crack for nothing. Also, the videos all say that theyre for ages 0-3 which is silly. No 3 year old (or 18 month old for that matter!) will ever stay focused on these videos and Im always bothered by the use of the word Einstein in the title as if to imply your baby will BENEFIT from the videos. The music is synthesized too which doesnt help with the development of a babies appreciation for music (and spatial reasoning and all of the things that The Mozart Effect espouses. Fantasia is one of my top picks if youre interested in beautiful music and lovely images. Its not a developmental video obviously, but is a classic. For stimulation and Mozart Effect type of results, the best option Ive found so far is Juno Baby. They focus on shapes, counting, and have cute characters that all of the babies in my play group love. They only have one video on their website but are supposedly coming out with another one soon. Theyre not too easy to find yet either which is not a positive for them - thats their biggest shortcoming. As Ive mentioned in some other posts though, if you do have the time, its better to interact with your baby, perhaps while listening to classical music. Just getting some little drums or tambourines out is cute and might even help teach a bit of rhythm and timing.

> 24 hourMy 6 month old daughter watched Baby Mozart VHS first and sat through the entire video (about 30 minutes)! A couple of days later I played this DVD which is almost double the length, she again watched the whole thing attentatively. Since the dvd is easier to play, we have been playing it at least a couple of time a day and everytime she quietly watches it, rubbing her little feet in satisfaction. Further, she watches it all by herself on her bouncer seat, or sitting on sofa, giving us plenty of time to ourselves - since she loves us to hold her these days. I tried to play others like the ballet Swan Lake, thinking the beautiful classical music along with ballet would do the same trick. Boy was I wrong! I guess thats why these Baby Einstein titles are no ordinary products, they simply catch babys attention easily. Get these titles, they are well worth the money and theyll last a long time.

> 24 hourI first happened onto Baby Einstein/Baby Beethoven by way of a Google link. I have watched the whole run with my granddaughter (6 months) many times-it seems to be a hit with her. So I went on and ordered the DVD. You all will find this DVD enjoyable, if its anything like the Google link. The music and the visuals of toys will keep the child(ren) occupied and captivated.

> 24 hourMy son has the entire Baby Einstein collection and LOVES them. I highly recommend purchasing Baby Mozart and Baby Beethoven first. He started watching these at four months. Now, he is two and enjoys the more advanced ones much better, but this one was a life saver the first year. As far as the reviewer who said do yourself a favor and buy a camcorder . . . sure, these videos are simplistic and maybe that person could have made a better DVD in their basement, but they didnt, and the maker of Baby Einstein is a millionaire. They are not horrible, horrible videos. Many infants and young children LOVE them, and other fancier videos will bore them for the most part. My son was mesmerized, and that is all that counts! Socks for puppets and all! It is worth your money to try one, although I would try Baby Mozart first.
