My 9 month old daughter started watching Baby Beethoven at about 6 weeks and loved it immediately. This is still, hands down, her favorite Baby Einstein DVD. She smiles just seeing the Disney intro and caterpillar. When she is truly fussy the DVD is the only thing that calms her down. I highly recommend it for younger babies.

This DVD is absolutely wonderful! It is one of the only things that will quiet my fussy baby. It is truly a lifesaver, as it occupies him so that I can get work done at home. He watches the DVD for the entire 30 minutes straight! Not even childrens shows on TV will hold his attention like that. Contrary to some of the other reviews, I find the video very entertaining and even comical in parts ! The images are perfect for babies, and the music is well orchestrated for little ones, yet entertaining enough for adult ears. If you buy the DVD version, you dont have to listen to any of the advertisements that the reviewers complained about after buying the VHS version. I would definitely recommend this DVD for anyone who has a baby. We will be buying more Baby Einstein products in the future.

My daughter absolutely LOVES Baby Beethoven. Shes been watching the Einstein series since she was about 8 - 10 weeks old. When she gets tired and fussy, I put her in her bouncer and turn on the Baby Beethoven DVD - she instantly stops fussing, relaxes (the arms and legs actually stop flailing around!), and is completely mesmerized by the toys and music. Although she likes The Book of Pooh and Rolie Polie Olie, neither of those have the same hypnotic effect on her! Its good to know that if shes watching TV, at least it is educational! Oh, and do yourself a HUGE favor and buy the DVD instead of the VHS. It has a Repeat Play option that when the show ends, it automatically starts at the beginning again (and it completely bypasses the advertisements at the beginning). We also have Baby Einstein: Language (I find this tape very annoying, so we dont watch it anymore), Baby Bach, Baby Mozart, Baby VanGogh and Baby Shakespeare on VHS, and she fusses like CRAZY when I have to rewind the tape, so we learned that DVD is the way to go! Hope your little one enjoys the Baby Einstein series as much as mine does!!!!

As a mother of a fussy young child, this and the other Baby Einstein dvds were a welcome relief. I could put them on and get 20 minutes to tackle other tasks while he was occupied. While you can put on Noggin or other kid channels, you get ads that Id just as soon he didnt watch. Give me the classics of Mozart or Beethoven and images that are stimulating for a child any day. Yes, they bore me, too, but Im NOT the target audience!

My daughter LOVES Baby Beethoven. We first put it on when she was 2 months old and she has loved it ever since. It has been wonderful to have and has helped greatly when shes been crabby but its too early for bed. All she has to hear is the intro and she gets excited. I think they did an EXCELLENT job of putting in things that keep the attention of an infant. Just remember that every child is different, this works for my child but might not work for yours. I talked so highly about the dvd and bought it for my nephew who is 3 months younger than my daughter but he has no interest in it. Just like everything else with babies, its trial and error. AND I think this is one that is definately worth trying!

My two-year-old requests this DVD every single morning and wants to watch it over and over. The toys and puppets give us things to talk about while we watch, but hes also happy to watch it quietly by himself. A excellent way to expose children to classical music and establish an appreciation for it before their friends tell them its not cool.
