> 24 hourLove these monitors for gamming and for work they are large enough to split screen and essentially turn two monitors into four. Super productive!!

> 24 hourThis is actually my first mid range monitor for gaming so I dont have much to say except a few things. This is my 1-month review. If you think you stomach the criticisms I make in this review, the go ahead and buy one. The whole review is 95% negative but I still like this monitor after I solved all of the issues I mention below. Backlight bleed mostly around the corner; very noticeable even if the room is fairly bright. But its not too terrible to upset me (I use monitor mostly in dark room environment). Love the adjustable height stand. Installing the stand is very simple. Plastic but feel very tough and durable. I extremely hate the position of the ports. In my unique situation, my desk has limited height issue. So its very tough when I need to plug and unplug the cable. Its best to put the port to be plugged on the side of the monitor, not at the near bottom. Port: - Buy an amazon basic hdmi cable. The provided hdmi cable often lost connection which caused me to go through plug and unplug nightmare. Cant seem to blindly plug in even if I determine the correct side. - I do not know if this is cable issue or the monitor itself, but I experience brief 1-3s black screen with amazon basic hdmi cable sometimes. Still better than the provided Asus hdmi cable which causes blackscreen very often and whose solution is to unplug and plug. - If you wonder whether to go for HDMI 2.0 or display port 1.2. Ill go with the hdmi unless you want 155Hz instead of 144Hz (stated in the manual). Also, if you want to turn on HDR and not bothered with stuff like ELMB and overlock, go for hdmi port. Image quality: overall, good for my eyes. A reminder that, if HDR is on, you cant adjust brightness on OSD, and some Image setting like Over Clocking, Sharpness, VividPixel, ELMB Sync. Brightness: 0 brightness is still too bright. Extremely bad if I use it for ps4 at night in dark room because theres no way to reduce brightness further. Warm color setting from OSD barely turns the color warmer. Solution: PC - I use a software to adjust brightness and warm color; Console / PS4 - I manually configure RGB to make it more red and save 2 settings: 1 for non-dark room and 1 for dark room environment. After image / blur issue: moving objects in ps4 has weird after image color, mouse, smooth scrolling. Turn the Trace Free (Image -> More -> Trace Free) to 0. That thing is like a bug but labeled as feature. Sound is a bit below average for me, non-audiophile. I use Logitech Z130 as speaker. Or my gaming laptop speaker sound a lot better. Personally, I prefer it doesnt have speaker at all to cut some cost. This is literally Asus makes customers purchase something they never use. This is a gaming monitor, not office monitor; so Asus either make great speaker or nothing at all.

> 24 hourBought this as a gift for my Husband whos been playing First Person Shooter. Upgraded from 60hz to 144hz has made a lot of difference. The color is much detailed than our previous asus Monitor. We can enjoy both watching movies during our free time. Good buy!

> 24 hourOut of the box this monitor has a very rich color profile, much better than any of my other IPS monitors. Viewing angle is very wide, responsiveness is what it needs to be for gaming, as advertised. Build quality is very high -- no unexpected plastic squeaks, everything feels really solidly put together. I have two very small complaints related to design: 1) the monitor inputs are mounted at an angle to look flashy. This results in much difficulty when switching display port inputs. My other moonitors which ar emounted parallel to my desk are easy to find the port and plug in without looking. This one I have to move the monitor every time rather than just unplugging and re-plugging. I know there are hardware solutions to switching monitors, but customers shouldnt need one because of a poor design choice. 2) the buttons are on the back right side of the monitor, and if it is used as part of a multiple display mounted horizontally, as the center screen, I must move it to manipulate the buttons. Yeah, I just dont like moving my monitors! (finger prints on the screen, hard to get the placement right again)... These two small negatives should not put you off from purchasing, but are worth mentioning if your situation is the same as mine. I can live with it for the impressive experience Im getting, and the price is right. Buy this monitor, and you wont regret it!

> 24 hourIPS monitor, 144hz, g-sync compatible. Picture quality is great, brightness is good (better than my value TN panel I bought), monitor indeed reaches 144hz (has sub 6.7 millisecond pixel response times) and can use g-sync to improve frame rate fluidity for when your games dont reach up to 144hz 100% of the time (which is going to be most cards barring a 2080Ti). Panel can move in the various forms: monitor can spin 90degrees left and right like a satellite dish, can go into both portrait and landscape mode, can be adjusted up and down ~5inches reaching all the way down to its base. I use it for the display port to my gpu, hdmi to my video game console, and the audio jack is helpful so that my speakers can be used for both my pc and console without having to reconnect them to anything. In my research Ive heard the brightness for this (350cad) is apparently low, but its actually just a smidge bit TOO bright even at lowest brightness when I mostly use it (at night in a very dimly lit room). But its just a smidge so the strain isnt so bad and again thats at pure night time no lights out and with some quite dim LED lights. So I only wish I could lower the brightness a little bit more actually. But thats for my needs. If youve got a very lit room, then the brightness might actually be too low. But if you use your PC at night, brightness is not an issue. Also I heard the LG monitor (27gl850) is better but that ones so popular so its either out of stock/getting overpriced way more often. This ones very satisfactory for about the same price (probably a little cheaper now so itd be on equal value).

> 24 hourIve had this monitor for several months now and at first I couldnt figure out why the screen would blank out on me for 3-4 seconds before coming back and invariably it was when I was in a battle royale game and right in a fight! Frustrating to say the least. Over time and winter though Ive noticed it only does it about 5-10 minutes after turning on (my computer sleeps when not in use) and after that initial start up blank/blink it doesnt do it anymore as it continues to run. So a minor annoyance and I just make sure to do other things for a bit till it does it before getting into a game :) So far so good! Picture is amazing, my first 2K monitor and 32 lots of real estate for productivity also :) Thanks for a quality product ASUS, now if only you could make it not do the blink thing itd be perfect. This isnt the only model that does this either, my research shows this is across many different ASUS monitors the blink/blank thing happens. FYI.

> 24 hourthe gaming experience is no doubt amazing on this item. from switching to 60fps to 120fps on console it certainly does its job very well, but the only thing that I was a little disappointed by was the fact that I couldnt run 120fps, while also running 1440p on my brand new xbox series s. maybe I set it up wrong, but when trying to run it it would never let me. never the less this item is amazing for a budget gaming monitor and would encourage any gamers trying to find a budget monitor to purchase this one. ps: if anyone finds a way to run 120fps and 1440p at the same time on the xbox series s, please let me know. much appreciated.

> 24 hourSo this was a big change from my previous monitor. When I first turned it on I it felt like I was staring into the sun. I have bit of light sensitivity so it was concerning but I just had to mess around with the settings. First time in my life Ive had to use the night mode along with other adjustments. Its still a bit of an adjustment but not something im concerned about long term. Like another review explained the text sizing is a bit smaller if thats something that bothers you I would recommend going with the smaller 1080p. I would have gone with the 1080 P myself but I needed a square base for where I needed to put it which is harder to find with certain specs and for 30 bucks difference I figured i would try this model instead. I will say though that the height adjustment, swivel, and tilt which wasnt something I needed but is something im enjoying a lot. This doubles as my work monitor that I plug into my work laptop so having two hdmi slots that i can switch between is amazing. I no longer have to keep swapping whats plugged in. Which is what messed up my port on my old monitor so im hopeful this one with last longer. I havent had a chance to actually try out any of my games but im expecting its gonna be pretty good.

> 24 hourThe monitor itself is great - nice 2k picture (well, technically 1440), high refresh rate, and its a higher resolution than my old one (which was just standard HD), and its got a nice, big screen. I also didnt have to spend eons calibrating it (like with my old one) - it was basically plug & play. Tweaked the brightness a tad so it wouldnt hurt my eyes & set the colour scheme to normal, which was quite easiy. Price was pretty good too (though I did have to pay quite a bit for shipping). Overall, Id recommend this to anyone who wants a good gaming monitor. And if you just want a high-res one, Id recommend 2k or 4k resolution (but you can find one without all the fancy gaming stuff to save some cash).
