> 3 dayI purchased this product at $259.99 and I would buy it again at that price. FreeSync flickering This has never happened to me once! Ive been using the monitor for a few weeks and its a non issue. Im using an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and have not tried NVIDIA. But if you have an newer AMD graphics card like I do, I recommend this monitor! Ghosting I barely notice the ghosting. When Im looking for it, I can see it on text, but its not noticible in game (except a little with moving text) and I dont think it should be an issue for most people. Darker blacks Ive never used VA before. My two most recent screens are a 1080p 144hz IPS on my Acer laptop and a 1080p 75hz IPS on my Asus monitor. To be honest, I can barely tell the difference. VA has a little bit darker blacks. Backlight bleed This montior does have backlight bleed just like an IPS. My Asus monitor has almost none but its also smaller. Expect some backlight bleed with this monitor. If there was a monitor that guaranteed ZERO backlight bleed but cost more, Id buy it, but backlight bleed exists at higher price points too. Its a roll of the dice. Luckily, you can only see it during dark scenes and sometimes not even then! Dead pixels MY monitor has NONE! I hate dead pixels and the reason I went with AOC is because their warranty is second to none on paper. I hope I dont have to use it but its amazing to have. 1500R Curve I have never used a curved montior before and was suspicious. However, I like the curve because I barely notice it while using it and it does make for an impressive look! The stand Its the best. I have always had to look down at monitors but this is not as issue with this one!

> 3 dayI loved it when I got it. But I had 2, and both lasted barely 2 years. I just wont purchase from this company again, neither time did they offer any help either. Its a solid monitor. But 2 out of 2 didnt even last 2 years. I wouldnt recommend.

> 3 dayOn the AOC website, they claim the CQ27G3S has a response time of 1ms MPRT and 4ms GtG. I didnt believe the 4ms gtg would be such a big hit on the monitors ability to control ghosting, but darker scenes have a lot more noticeable ghosting. I tested ghosting using ufo test, so not really gaming environment, but it gives an idea on how the monitor reacts to certain scenes. Bright scenes are quite tame with almost no ghosting, while the darkest scene has the most noticeable. Overdrive setting on strong seems to lessen the length of the trail. Its not unplayable and for a VA panel, I didnt expect much. 7/10 165hz refresh rate is very nice because it allows for more smoother gameplay. I switched from a 60hz 4k to a 165hz 2k and the difference is huge. The quality of the image is about the same unless youre staring right at a single pixel looking for it. The only problem with the refresh rate is that 165hz is unstable. The actual monitor refresh rate fluctuates between 165hz and 160hz. It doesnt affect performance, however, its still a bit misleading. It is most stable at 144hz and does just as good. If you needed exactly 165hz for some reason, this monitor is not the best. The pixel density is very high for a small screen so the images are really clear. Anything above 28 for a 1440p/2k monitor is going to be poor. Coming from 4k 28 to 2k 27 there isnt much difference in image quality. Especially if you upscale resolution in games, its basically the same picture. 8/10 The colors also needed some work to get it perfect. There are three ways to make the screen brighter: brightness, contrast, and rgb settings. If you raise all of the rgb equally, the brightness also increases. Too high of a contrast will raise brightness, but also make all of the colors look weird. Adjust to your own preference. There is little to no back bleed. Only the slightest grey patch in the upper right corner, but unless youre in a completely dark room with a black screen playing, its completely unnoticeable. 9/10 The OSD menu is poorly developed. Modifying certain menu items will modify other related items, understandably so, however, it doesnt revert back to default. Which means if you have a good set up and modify your settings to experiment, you will lose your previous set up. Maybe not that big of a deal, but a peeve of mine. I wish it doesnt save until you hit a separate button to save. For now, it gets the job done, but if I ever wanted to change something, I would lose all my previous settings which is very unfortunate. 7/10 Its 2k at 27, 144hz stable refresh, curved VA, and affordable with a 4 year warranty against any manufacturer defect(dont quote me). Very much a worthy buy. 8/10

> 3 dayI LOVED this monitor and the depth of color. I thought I had finally found a great 2K gaming monitor...until I watched a video that had lots of black in it. The bleed is so bad I actually thought it was some effect on the screen. Did a backlight bleed test and it was ridiculously bad. I really did not want to send it back so I tried adjusting the brightness, the contrast, and every other setting I could find. Didnt change.

> 3 dayAfter buying a ViewSonic monitor and being disappointed by the fact that it could not render 1440 P at 120 Hz on the Xbox series X, I decided to give this AOC monitor a try. To my delight all I had to do was plug it in and turn it on and immediately I was able to get 1440 P at 120 Hz and HDR 10 on both the PlayStation five and the Xbox series X without a problem. I wish I would’ve gone for this monitor on the first try. I highly recommend it, if you are looking for a quality gaming monitor don’t hesitate to buy this one. The AOC CQ27G3S is awesome!!

> 3 dayWhen I built my current desktop gmain systemback in 2020, I decided to upgrade my monitor too. I was going to share the montor with my work laptop too, and I wanted plenty of room and legibility for expansive spreadsheets. I also wanted a decent refresh for gaming. This monitor hit my sweet-spot of price and performance. In 2023, I bought a second one to upgrade my second screen as well.

> 3 dayGaming was good, I played a little Valorant, but the only problem was that it wasn’t 165hz. The max was 144hz. I don’t know if I have to use the hdmi cord it comes with, or plug it in a specific way. Although it is better than the 75hz I used to play on, but you know I pay for 165hz I want 165hz. So I’m going to give it 4 stars.

Greater than one weekI had an MSI g24c before this(gj monitor I dont buy MSI parts at all anymore)... Colors were not great, the only thing that impressed me was the curve.. monitor failed me after a month of gaming , took it to a lan party. The screen had lines everywhere with dead pixels after setting it up again. Realized that that monitor had to warm up or stay plugged in for like 2 hours for the screen to come back fully. I left it on for the next 2 years and forgot about the issue. Just happened again and threw that pos away and ordered this. Price was about the same, but this monitor has amazed me right out of the box. Bigger, better refresh rate, curved still..But then the colors blew my mind. In fact I ordered a 3070 TI right after to push its limits over a 3gb gtx 1060 I was using with a few days. Super sturdy stand assembles/ disassembles fast without tools (built in screws with finger cranks, actually really cool idea). Show me the nicest monitor in the world and I wouldnt look twice at it. This is all I could want. priced well too
