after 3 months the power connector on the notebook seem to be loose and the charging connection became very sensitive and intermittent. I contacted Acer and was told that I could send it to Texas from MASS and wait 15-20 days for the repair to be made. This is not acceptable. There are 4 acer authorized service centers in my immediate area that could repair it on site. I tried multiple charging cords so I know its not that. There are DYI instructions to replace the conntector yourself. I asked if they could get me the part, but doing so would void my warrantee.

So far so good this thing is fast. I may get one for myself. I bought for my son to do school work on. It starts so quick and runs programs much faster than mine.

Don’t like how it opens, otherwise pretty good

I bought it for school. Less than 6 MONTHS and issues with battery. It goes from 100% to 3% within 5 seconds and then shutdown. Closed background apps, updated, reset battery - didnt change anything. Even plugged in, there are pop-ups that the battery is low and shuts down. I will buy a new charger and battery and will update if that fixes the problem.

Bought two of these for my kids to use for the school year. One is working great, but the other started malfunctioning.

Here is what I found lacking in this computer: 1. the webcam is really bad. Very bad dynamic range, blurry, blocky, and makes you look like youre living in 2010. 2. the HDMI port on mine appears dysfunctional. Probably its just my unit. 3. the mouse trackpad is not precise. It would register jumpy inputs from my finger when there was no reason to. 3. FYI with the extra number pad on the side of the keyboard, the QWERTY portion of the keyboard is off-center from the center point of the screen. Same for the trackpad. Something Im sure you can get used to but I found it a problem while typing.

Ive been working on personal computers since the early 80s, and feel more than proficient in learning new software and processes. But I am not a super techy person, and the inside hardware details of usual laptop reviews escape me. So, when my laptop aged out (got clumsy about handling upgrades) and I felt the need to upgrade to a new system, I made a list of what I wanted to experience with a better machine.

Horrible! Wouldn’t even turn on! Read a bunch of reviews and purchased it for fiancé to do her schooling on. She was all happy opened the box plugged it into charger and tried powering it up. The keyboard lit up blue and the screen stayed black. Now going thru the hassle of returning it after talking to Acer customer service and now Amazon customer service. It’s been a nightmare when all I wanted to buy was a brand new laptop, now it’s turned into a headache. I’ll never buy another Acer product in my life!!!!

Battery life has been an issue since we have received it - lucky to get 2 hours of continuous (browsing) use before it needs to be recharged
