Updating to say the heater almost caught my floor on fire. I have since heard from several other people that have had very similar incidents. The heater is severally hot. My son had it dangling about an inch above the floor while he fed and cleaned out the cage and smoke was radiating off of my floor and left a huge burn mark. Be extra careful- if I had missed it for one more minute it would have started a fire. I ordered this mostly for the thermostat but it’s a cheap digital one so parts of the numbers don’t light up so you cant tell what the temperature really is. Not worth it. Spend a little more to get better quality

No issues in the first month. Satisfied. Update: one year later and still working! It is on 24/7.

It doesnt direct the heat downward as much as I would like for a snake.

This is wonderful, perfect for baby chicks. Not too hot, it doesn’t use too much power and produces great heat, and no light. I think that’s the best heating system for baby chicks.

Exactly what I hoped for. A consistent heat source. Heat pads were fluctuating in temperature too much. I would absolutely buy this again.

Provides a lot of heat even if you have a large terrarium.

I use ceramic heat lamps for my hedgehog, especially during the winter months, to make sure he doesnt hibernate. This does the job well and the included thermostat ensures the temperature is just right.

This bulb works great! I didnt even realize when I ordered it that it came with a thermometer, which was also great!! I got a dimmer for it, and its a super responsive bulb.
