> 3 dayUpdating to say the heater almost caught my floor on fire. I have since heard from several other people that have had very similar incidents. The heater is severally hot. My son had it dangling about an inch above the floor while he fed and cleaned out the cage and smoke was radiating off of my floor and left a huge burn mark. Be extra careful- if I had missed it for one more minute it would have started a fire. I ordered this mostly for the thermostat but it’s a cheap digital one so parts of the numbers don’t light up so you cant tell what the temperature really is. Not worth it. Spend a little more to get better quality

> 3 dayI am modifying this review from a one star to a two star for good customer service. When they read my poor review of the heat lamp, they refunded my money. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very poor heat output. I can touch the bulb at its hottest - never above 70F right under the bulb - and the switch was broken when I got it. Move on to another product.

> 3 dayThis is wonderful, perfect for baby chicks. Not too hot, it doesn’t use too much power and produces great heat, and no light. I think that’s the best heating system for baby chicks.
